Main Responsibilities:
- To source & procure ME parts at the competitive price, favourable terms and conditions.
- To liaise with suppliers and support internal projects, source identification and selection.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends.
- Continue cost reduction activities.
- To be able to travel to visit potential supplier, audit, evaluating sample and qualifying selected plant.
Job Description:
- To source, analyse specification, cost breakdown and assess the price competitiveness, negotiate and purchase ME parts from identified sources, local and overseas.
- To advise requestor on selection from sufficient number of suppliers and purchase term and conditions.
- To obtain prices, delivery and favourable terms and conditions to achieve the company’s objectives.
- To constantly source and negotiate to achieve cost reduction objectives.
- To review supplier price, quality and delivery.
- To compile procurement PPV, statistics and reports.
- To develop business relationship with key vendors.
- Work closely with internal customers to achieve optimum procurement condition and results.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed by the Company or manager/supervisor.
EDUCATION / ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/ Electronics Engineering.
KEY REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
- 2 years relevant experience in dynamic manufacturing environment (Fresh grads are welcome)
- Knowledge in Oracle will be added advantage.
- Strong in MS office – Excel, PowerPoint.
- Able to do costing analysis independently.

Role Overview:
- Be the focal point for special tooling & equipment purchase and drive vendor performance in accordance to established purchase orders / contracts
