• Identify limitations in proposed product designs and suggest improvements to meet Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and inspection guidelines. Provide critical feedback on process dimensions and product features.
• Identify and lead any proof-of-concept work required in early design stage to verify use of new technology or concepts in product or process design to reduce risk and improve profitability.
• Develop manufacturing strategies for new products and drive the tooling development process to meet customer's expectations of quality and optimal cost and lead-time. Collaborate with other process development, process integration, manufacturing development to align on project priorities and deliver robust, manufacturing friendly processes on time
Partner with Manufacturing fab for effective transfer, pilot ramp and ongoing development to achieve TECHNODE gate criteria
Engage with Procurement & Operations Central Teams and lead worldwide alignment efforts across technology to improve area efficiency
This position requires communications and collaboration with partners both locally and globally. Strict adherence to Micron Intellectual Property protection policy is a must
Qualifications
Minimum 5 yrs experience in the semiconductor industry with Wet process background and strong organizational and technical skills with demonstrated success in engagement with global teams
Possess a deep understanding of the process technologies such as Vapor etch, wet strip, etc
Demonstrated ability to lead successful projects and experience overseeing a process engineering team
Must be able to instill a department culture within each team member in-line with the company core values
Must be an excellent communicator (verbal and written)
Demonstrated ability to take calculated risks challenging oneself and others to execute on new solutions
Must be seen by current reports as an excellent mentor, team builder, motivator and technical expert with proven ability to solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success/failure
Must offer strategic thinking within the context of the PD leadership team in topics of team engagement, group morale, conducive working atmosphere and work culture
Oversees the activities related to the technical support and process development engineering functions of a manufacturing area. Plans and implements the development of new and scale-up process formulas. Establishes operating equipment specifications and acts as a liaison with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible. Leads efforts to achieve cost effectiveness and improved product quality. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
