What the role is
You will be part of a team to evaluate new technologies, as well as design, develop and integrate solutions to ensure compliance to organisation's policies and industry best practices, to support the organisation's business and operational needs.
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for applications. It involves integrating secure development practices and methodologies into the System/Application Development Life Cycle (SDLC), to deliver the most suitable applications to support business and operational requirements as well as ensuring compliance to cybersecurity policies with proper risk management.
What we are looking for
You should have a tertiary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields, preferably with work experiences in application development. Possession of knowledge in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java or JavaScript would be advantageous. You should possess good analytical, problem-solving and good communication skills. You must be comfortable to work independently and as part of a team, as well as being able to work well under pressure.
About Military Security Department
The Military Security Department (MSD)'s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. It began with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
