The primary responsibility of a Software Business Analyst is to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, while also facilitating effective communication between business and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle. They support also the project management of the software project.
Key Accountabilities
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new software development projects. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to elicit and clarify requirements.
Documentation: Create detailed and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases. Ensure that requirements are clear, complete, and align with business goals.

Data Analyst
**General Overview of the position:**
Provide data-related expertise to the business in support of its operations, growth and decision-making capabilities. This will be delivered largely through the use of Power BI, SAP Business Objects and Microsoft Office.
**Main duties and responsibilities:**
**Management Information (MI) Reports and Data Operations**
+ Create and maintain MI reports to support finance, operations, quality assurance, client and management teams across Asia for internal use.
+ Create and maintain MI reports for clients based on their requirements.
+ Manage report distribution schedules.
+ Monitor data quality and liaise with relevant teams to resolve issues.
+ Gather and analyse user requirements for reports.
+ Raise requests to data engineering team for new reporting fields.
+ Monitor and test newly released data fields and feedback to the data engineering team.
+ Assist to resolve data related issues with the data engineering team.
+ Engage Ops/Finance/Admin colleagues to resolve data-related queries.
+ Assist with the preparation and delivery of data services to clients.
+ Visualize data using Excel and Power BI.
+ Review day-to-day data operations to identify areas of improvement.
**Data Analysis and Dashboards**
+ Analyse data related to operations, finance, and clients, to extract insights and collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for improvement/growth and assist to develop action plans
+ Create and distribute dashboards at multiple levels such as management, business units, teams and individuals.
+ Create dashboards to be used by clients.
+ Use Power BI to set up data models, write DAX queries and use Power Query to transform data.
+ Investigate and resolved data discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reports/dashboards.
**Other**
+ Document all work, metrics, calculations, processes and maintain relevant data dictionaries where required.
+ Assist and support the team on any projects and initiatives.
+ Other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job title, at the Manager's discretion.
**Other Duties**
+ As required/assigned.
**_Education/Qualifications:_**
+ Bachelor's degree in the sciences, engineering, technology, or finance is preferred.
**_Experience:_**
+ At least 1 year of experience in the general insurance industry or management information reporting. (Ideal but not required)
**_Skills/Knowledge:_**
+ Excel skills and fluency at pivot tables.
+ Data visualization using Power BI
+ SQL queries (basic/intermediate)
+ Python, including libraries related to data analysis and machine learning.
+ Familiarity with basic data analytics concepts and theories.
+ Experience using enterprise reporting tools e.g. SAP Business Objects.
+ Microsoft Power Automate is a plus.
+ Systematic problem solver, good planner, and a clear communicator.
