How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
Serves as a member of the IP Customer Engineering team, assigned to customer NI projects as required for on-time, quality delivery of technical deployment projects.
Supports end to end delivery management of integration/deployment technical deliverables for NI Customer Engineering. Owns communication, scheduling, resource management, change management, risk mitigation, escalations, and all other areas of integration/deployment technical delivery.
Drives customer issues with company product, architected solution and or service quality to resolution by tracking, reporting and escalating. Communicates solutions, identifies solution components and owner action item commitments and sets resolution timelines.
Work to optimize the technical solution and identify change orders/up-scopes through change management process.
Provides overviews of current customer service issues and status of resolution to upper management/stakeholders on short notice – Accountable for timely and accurate communication on all aspects of the technical deployment project.
Validates the workload involved and expertise needed related to technical tasks. Ensures resource management related to technical tasks regarding allocation, induction, release and expertise needed.
Prepares/Contributing and Supporting the PM to provide a comprehensive deployment status report for project stakeholders on a regular (weekly) schedule.
When required, provide support for deployment activities by attending maintenance window work to manage the team and deliverables. Weekend work may be required.
Configure, validate, and deploy network infrastructure during project roll out of IP equipment
Brainstorm and discuss with the team about customer requirements and implementation
Read the LLD and derive the configuration files and MOP
Lead network migrations together with the TPM
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
12 to 15 years of experience in IP data networking.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or a relevant technical degree.
5 or more years’ experience in a role requiring understanding, designing and Implementing IP Routing technologies and networking protocols.
Strong IP knowledge including IP routing protocol, MPLS, Segment Routing, SRV6, L2/L3 VPN, EVPN, IP SDN and network automation.
In-depth knowledge of network architecture and Hands-on experience including design, build, deploy IP networks, troubleshooting & fault-finding, etc.
Skills to install, configure, integrate, test and commission the offered IP products to customer.
Work independently in troubleshooting and resolving complex projects, issues and challenges encountered.
Excellent in designing E2E Mobile Networks, Backhaul and Core Solutions and Concepts.
It would be nice if you also had:
Hands-on experience including design, build, deploy IP networks, troubleshooting & fault-finding, etc.
Nokia SRA, Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE or equivalent Certification are a plus.
Data-center networking knowledge.
