We are looking for a Research Fellow (RF) with expertise and experience in Environmental Engineering / Microbiology. The RF will engage in innovative research focused on the formation, structure, and function of bioflocs in climate-resilient aquaculture systems. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to engage in impactful, interdisciplinary research in a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional research team. It also provides opportunities to closely interact with industry leaders in aquaculture.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate would be required to lead a project under a larger research programme between Singapore and China. The candidate should fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Design, perform, and optimize experiments with scientific rigor;
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data;
- Communicate findings clearly through technical reports, papers, and presentations;
- Work collaboratively with researchers from diverse backgrounds
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree in environmental engineering, biochemical engineering, environmental biotechnology/microbiology or a related field in science or engineering;
- Solid foundation in microbial biotechnology, as evidenced by documented research experience, e.g., journal publications;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team;
- Research experience in biofilm- or biofloc-related topics is highly desirable.
