We are seeking a talented Software Engineer, Simulation to drive the development and validation of advanced robotic simulation environments. You will work on high-impact projects involving multi-floor navigation, external system integrations, photorealistic simulation, and automated testing—all aimed at enhancing real-world robotic deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Drive simulation adoption across engineering teams to accelerate development cycles and enhance deployment efficiency.
Design, develop, and maintain high-fidelity simulation environments using frameworks such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Webots, enabling comprehensive robotic validation across diverse scenarios, including crowd simulation.
Develop and integrate external adapters for seamless communication with smart infrastructure (e.g., lifts, automated doors) via cloud-based or direct communication protocols.
Enhance and maintain ROS1/ROS2 packages, ensuring robust and scalable robotic communication and control.
Collaborate cross-functionally with front-end, back-end, and autonomy teams to enable seamless integration throughout the development lifecycle.
Optimize and automate simulation workflows by integrating regression testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring consistent and reliable validation of robotic behaviors.
Develop and maintain simulation servers to support multiple developers, enabling scalable and efficient testing environments for continuous innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
0-2 years of relevant industrial experience (robotics, system integration) and operating with Linux systems
0-2 years of experience with ROS (Robot Operating System), building production-level robotics systems.
Strong proficiency in C++, Python, Bash, Docker-based deployments
Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as REST, MQTT, TCP/IP, UDP
Experienced in robotic simulation frameworks such as Gazebo, Webots, Isaac Sim, or similar.
Proficient in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Tasks And Responsibilities
Work closely with ISG to understand the simulation needs and requirements.
Review layouts and documentation for a detailed understanding of the systems to be simulated.
Design, develop and configure AutoMod simulation models.
Incorporate standard global simulation models.
Analyse customer data to develop input tables for running simulation scenarios.
Analyse operator process times using time study techniques such as MOST.
Scenario analysis to identify system sensitivities.
Use the simulation model for solution optimisation and defining critical software or controls logic.
Identify bottlenecks and make design change recommendations to ISG / engineering where necessary to improve the overall system performance.
Document simulation methodologies, assumptions and results.
Prepare presentations and charts to effectively communicate simulation findings with key stakeholders.
Build standard simulation tools, which are easily configurable and used during the sales period to demonstrate the capability of the proposed solution to our customers.
Keep informed of the latest development in simulation techniques, tools and technologies.

What you will be responsible for:
Conduct thermal/fluid simulation analysis for components in data centers, including but not limited to cold plates, servers, cooling towers, air cooling & liquid cooling circulation systems. Based on simulation results, provide optimization recommendations for component-level structural designs and offer design and selection guidance for core cooling system components such as fans, circulation pumps, and pipelines.
Perform thermal simulation for high-performance computing data center site layouts. This includes simulations at the server-room and campus levels, airflow distribution, cooling system simulations, and energy consumption analysis. Provide recommendations for site layouts, air conditioning configurations, hot and cold aisle designs, and cooling pathways based on simulation results. Participate in data center site selection evaluation, analyzing the impact of geographic location and climate conditions on cooling systems, and provide corresponding solutions.
Utilize professional simulation software (e.g., Flotherm, Fluent, Icepak) to build simulation models and analyze thermal fields, pressure fields, flow resistance, temperature distribution, etc.
Design and validate experiments for component-level and system-level products. Perform validation checks for simulation results and provide project summaries covering design analysis and experimental verification.
Research advanced thermal management technologies, including new materials, thermal stacking architectures, and thermal modeling. Stay updated on the latest developments in the industry, explore new simulation methodologies and tools, and continuously improve simulation efficiency and accuracy.
Develop and deliver training on thermal design standards and procedures.
How you will stand out:
Master’s degree or higher in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields, with a strong theoretical foundation in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and numerical heat transfer.
5-10 years of experience in thermal/fluid simulation, with a preference for candidates with both component-level and system-level simulation project experience. Experience with large-scale computing data centers is a plus.
Familiar with the thermal design process for data centers and air/liquid cooling systems. Skilled in using at least one mainstream thermal/fluid simulation software (e.g., Flotherm, Fluent, Icepak) for thermal design simulation and optimization.

Qualifications
