1. Key Responsibilities:
- LNG Derivatives Trading: Execute LNG futures and derivatives trades (including options and swaps) to optimize the company’s commodity portfolio and achieve risk-adjusted returns. Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulations.
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Conduct in-depth research on global LNG markets, including supply-demand dynamics, price trends, and policy impacts. Track key market data, including production and receiving countries, transportation capacity, and benchmark prices (e.g., JKM, TTF, Henry Hub).
- Hedging Strategy Implementation: Design and implement commodity hedging strategies for LNG, utilizing futures and derivatives to mitigate price volatility and optimize the company’s energy price risk management.
- Risk Management: Build and maintain comprehensive risk models for LNG derivatives positions. Monitor market conditions and portfolio exposure to ensure effective risk management and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Reporting and Decision Support: Prepare high-quality analytical reports on LNG futures markets and provide regular updates to management. Support trading and procurement strategies with detailed market forecasting and risk analysis.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with risk management, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of trading strategies. Maintain relationships with brokers, counterparties, and external research institutions to stay ahead of market trends.
2. Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Energy, Engineering, or related fields. Futures trading certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in commodity futures trading, with a focus on LNG or energy-related commodities (LPG, crude oil, fuel oil, etc.).
- Experience in derivatives trading and hedging strategies for energy markets is preferred.
- Experience in risk management, position control, and compliance monitoring.
3. Skills:
- Strong understanding of LNG derivatives products, including futures, options, and swaps.
- Proficiency in market analysis, including basis analysis, volatility forecasting, and quantitative modelling.
- Skilled in using trading platforms and tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters Eikon, and other professional analysis systems.
- Expertise in Python, R, Excel, and Power BI for quantitative analysis and modelling.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with market participants.
4. Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Chinese is considered a plus, as the role involves frequent communication with the domestic leadership team.
5. Additional Qualifications:

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

Ownership for managing and mitigating any delta or currency risk associated with the desk ensuring adherence to risk policies and procedures in place for the business.
Possess in-depth product knowledge particularly in areas such as Total return swap, SBL, derivatives Index futures and options, ETF.
Collaborate with cross functional teams both internally and externally to deliver solutions that will assist in business growth.
Develop and participate in innovative and profitable trade ideas and explore opportunities across varied products keeping in mind the key risk framework of the business.
Requirements
Degree holder in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline(s), or CFA.
2 – 5 years relevant experience
Prior experiences in Delta One trading, trading technology and quant strategist is a plus.
Be familiar with the Delta One products including: single stock swaps, index swaps, P-note etc.
Self-motivated, fast learner and understand dynamics of equity investment business
Strong motivation to learn, think fast and critically, solve various problems arising from trading, risk control and operation
Attention to details, accuracy, time management and work under pressure, ability to collaborate and work as a team
Proficiency in using Python/VBA or some programing skill is a plus
Good communication skills to be able to communicate with various counterparties both internally & externally.

Responsibilities:
- Support senior traders in conducting market research and analysis to identify trading opportunities and trends in the oil and gas market. Monitor supply and demand dynamics, geopolitical developments, and price movements of energy commodities.
- Assist in executing trades, including buying and selling oil and gas products, negotiating prices, and arranging logistics for product delivery. Follow established trading strategies and risk management protocols to optimize trading performance.
- Manage trade orders and ensure timely and accurate execution of trades. Coordinate with internal teams, counterparties, and logistics providers to facilitate the smooth flow of trade transactions.
- Assist in monitoring and managing trading risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk. Adhere to risk limits and guidelines set by the trading desk and compliance department.
- Maintain accurate records of trade transactions, contracts, and related documentation. Prepare trade confirmations, invoices, and reports for internal use and regulatory compliance purposes.
- Build and maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers, and other stakeholders in the oil and gas industry. Communicate effectively with clients and vendors to address inquiries, resolve issues, and foster long-term partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies governing trading activities. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting energy trading operations.
- Assist in analyzing trading performance and evaluating the effectiveness of trading strategies. Identify areas for improvement and contribute ideas to enhance trading profitability and efficiency.
- Continuously seek opportunities for learning and professional development in the field of energy trading and the oil and gas industry. Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and new trading technologies/tools.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent numerical and quantitative abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software/tools. Knowledge of financial markets, energy commodities, and trading principles is preferred.
- Previous internship or work experience in trading, finance, or the oil and gas industry is a plus.
