The successful incumbent will support the daily operations of the Health Office and deliver medical needs and assisting in health promotion, health education to staff, students and parents.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide and manage emergency medical care and adequate medical advice for students and staff across the school.
- Work as an informed, proactive, effective, and cohesive member of the community promoting the health and wellness aspects of the school.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records of all students as regulated by the Ministry of Health.
- Document and appropriately provide accurate information on accidents and illnesses to the doctors, hospitals or other relevant parties.
- Be present for all student related activities on campus and provide first aid attention in an emergency.

- Ensures school community adheres to and is well informed of required immunization programs as per Ministry of Health guidelines

- Support the Management of Health office budget, track and liaise with relevant departments on payments on Health Office purchases.
- Identify knowledge/standard gaps within the Health Office, and initiate ideas to improve the quality and health care service provided within the school.
Position Requirement:
- Minimum Degree or Diploma in Nursing or other relevant courses.
- To be a registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board.
- Minimum 1- 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a school/paediatric environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Good personal ethics, positive customer service attitude, and polite and pleasant demeanour.
- Proficiency in a second language (esp. Mandarin – to liaise effectively with Mandarin speaking students).
- The ability to remain calm in cases of emergency and cope with a degree of pressure at peak times.
- The ability to deliver high-quality, timely nursing care to all individuals on campus.
- Able to interact effectively with all levels of individuals and the diverse community.
- Able to multitask and handle competing priorities.
- Demonstrate professionalism to support a culture of integrity within the team.
- Working hours are according to School timings 8 am to 5 pm.

Job Description
The School Nurse will provide a clinically effective and high quality nursing care and welfare service to students, and first aid care to all members of the school community as required. The School Nurse will also provide a holistic approach to the care of children, including health promotion and the assessment and treatment of illness and injury.
- Attend to children's injuries, illness, and assist in handling outbreak cases, such as hand, food and mouth disease.
- Assist in taking of children temperature daily.

- Graduate qualification in counselling, counselling psychology or clinical psychology.

- Association for Counselling (SAC) or a registered psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).
- A minimum of ONE year of professional counselling experience and competent in case management, and critical incident management.
- Proficient in professional counselling approaches and tools to help clients with diverse issues and conditions.
- Experience in working with young adults, preferably in a school setting.
