The DCM Associate is responsible for assisting clients in accessing global debt markets across both bonds and loans products and is also responsible for the support of the senior originators of the DCM team.
**Debt Capital Markets** **(DCM)** **Mandate**
+ Develop a sustainable, client focused, flow oriented, primary markets origination business for MUFG clients across the region.
+ Develop value-added direct DCM client relationships with bond and loan issuer clients.
+ Work with relationship managers to develop/broaden the overall relationship with core clients by providing high quality support and product interface regarding capital markets financing opportunities (across multiple debt products and currencies)
+ Origination of debt transactions for issuance into local, regional and/or global capital markets
Responsibilities include:
+ Preparing high-quality pitchbooks and materials for client meetings and follow-ups
+ Provide regular market and pricing updates for internal and external clients.
+ Perform analytical work for client funding or event driven transactional requirements including proactive pitching / marketing as well as responding to client RFPs.
+ Proactively create trade ideas and new business proposals which meet our client's needs.
+ React to client enquiries in a risk-sensitive manner, ensuring proposed solutions are appropriate for the client and meet the requirements of best execution.
+ Engage and build relationship with client working level teams to ensure smooth execution.
+ Supporting deal lead in internal approvals processes ensure AML/KYC and compliance standards are met for all transactions.
+ Coordinate between all internal and external stakeholders and deal team members to ensure smooth execution from mandate to deal closing.
+ Deal execution aspects includes due diligence, structuring, documentation, ratings, investor marketing, roadshow planning, settlement, and deal case studies.
Requirements:
+ At least 3+ years (for Associate role) and 6+ years (for Vice President role) of relevant debt capital markets origination and/or distribution experience in the region
+ Prior relevant experience in the G3 bond product with clients in the region is important.
+ Good understanding and/or experience in corporate lending and credit analysis would be a significant added advantage.
+ Analytical background with strong attention to detail
+ Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.
+ Strong interpersonal and networking skills
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others.
