Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Aftersales, the Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical Electric Vehicle background, proven leadership abilities, and extensive hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, mechanical repairs, and servicing vehicles in an authorized dealership environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring overall operation of the garage, including safety, cleanliness and workflow efficiency
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform quality control checks before vehicle delivery
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
- Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies or recurring issues in repairs processed; implement root-cause solutions
- Responsible for ensuring that vehicles are maintained according to a schedule to minimize breakdowns and maximize performance
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities and parts usage
- Adhere to established procedures and guidelines for maintenance and repairs
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
Requirements
- Certification or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic in an Authorized Dealership environment
- Must be certified in Electric Vehicle (EV) technology and possess a valid certification
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills of Electric Vehicles
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety

- Perform daily repair and maintenance of equipment on site. Works closely with your team in order to get the job done in a proper manner as soon as possible. Report to your superior after each job is done or proceed to the next job as per instructed.
- Perform weekly / monthly maintenance of equipment on site. Works closely with your team and Operations Department and update the machine conditions in case of breakdown and need to be collected back for repair and to be replaced with another machine available.
- Perform general maintenance of Company's vehicle which was assigned to you. Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the overall vehicle. Qualifications
- ITE / NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma from Mechanical Engineering / other related major with minimum 3 years experiences in handling diesel engine repair and maintenance at site or those who has experience working in similar rental industries is desirable.
- Meticulous person with a good communications skill for dealing with people from diverse background.
