ROLE

Senior Consultants are experienced members of the Advisory team, working with a wide range of clients to evaluate the market and economic feasibility of hotels, mixed-use resorts, and leisure destinations around the world. The Senior Consultant is an upper-intermediate position for a real estate professional, who is highly numerate and comfortable with quantitative data and analysis. The Senior Consultant is responsible for the delivery of assignments, guiding junior staff, and liaising directly with clients. The Senior Consultant reports to the Studio Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaboratively plans and performs research and data collection activities

• Designs and supports engaging workshops with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders

• Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to determine impact on the client’s development opportunity

• Uses interdisciplinary thinking and collaboration to ground all ideas in research insights and constraints

• Manages day-to-day operations for projects, including staffing, fee tracking and forecasting, and client meetings

• Guides Analysts and other team members on projects and shares experience, encourages original thinking, and helps ensure alignment throughout the project

• Possesses a broad understanding of geography, economics, and global affairs

• Coordinates project administration and internal corporate support

• Works closely with the Advisory Studio Director and team to ensure project success

• Helps strengthen and grow existing client relationships

EXPECTATIONS IN THE ROLE

• Experienced with research methodologies and activities, along with working with both qualitative and quantitative data

• Graphically visualizes information and ideas, effectively uses charts and graphics to represent and communicate findings and complex ideas

• Strong and persuasive writer, able to describe work process clearly and succinctly, options for consideration, findings, recommendations, and communications

• Demonstrates strong collaboration skills to achieve extraordinary outcomes

REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in real estate, economics, tourism, or related field

• 7-10 years of relevant professional experience

• A basic medical and relevant postgraduate qualification such as MRCP or equivalent, recognised by the Singapore Medical Council

• Principal Accountabilities
• Oversees the inpatient wards or home care patients. Review new cases post-admission. Assist in the daily ward rounds or case review in home care.
• Lead Patient Care Conference or Multidisciplinary Case Discussion and mortality rounds.
• Provide leadership and guidance on updating of clinical protocols.
• Lead or assist in review of referrals for admission.
• Chair or be a member of Quality Assurance Committee.
• Supervise and teach medical officers, residents and clinical associates. Perform staff appraisal for doctors assigned as supervisor of supervisees.
• Supervise, attend and actively participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme and oversee pre-medical students and others on attachment, if appointed.
• Assist the Head of Department (HOD) in supervising the planning of the on-call roster, if appointed.
• Assist in the planning of the clinical attachment of medical students.
• Assist or lead in a Value-Based Clinical pathway.

• Oversee either inpatient wards or home care patients, assisted by the Medical Officer (MO) / Resident Physician (RP) of the respective service.
• Conduct daily ward rounds or pre-visit huddles with MO/RP to review patients' conditions and order treatment, investigations as required.
• Attend to new admissions by reviewing patients' referral notes, performing physical examinations and interviewing family members (clerking of new admissions).
• Conduct rounds with visiting consultants and discuss recommendations.
• Be able to do clinical procedures such as suturing, venepuncture, setting up IV, setting up infusion pumps etc. if MO/RPs have difficulty.
• Lead in Patient Care Conference, contributing to the care and/or discharge plans of patients. This may include screening and referring patients to community services such as Day Rehabilitation Centre or the Home Nursing Services and/or Home Medical Services.
• Attend to emergencies in the wards or in home care as per assigned coverage.
• Ensure that exit ward rounds are carried out, for continuity of care, with appropriate hand-off to the doctor on-call.
• Perform on-call duties as 2nd line staff with ability to provide direct care on-site as the situation warrants.

• Supervise and guide junior doctors.
• Plan and deliver teach-in sessions and CME talks.
• Oversee and provide tutorials for the attachment of medical students.
• Provide leadership, influence direction and chair clinical work groups, committees such as Infection Control Committee, Medication Safety Quality Assurance Committee and Work Improvement Teams.
• Provide leadership or participate in research and Quality Improvement (QI) projects.

• Cover the duties of the other doctors when on night duty, and during their leave, if the situation warrants it.
• Participate in external committee work, project(s) as approved or as directed by the MD from time to time.

• Possesses an MBBS degree or equivalent qualification recognized by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).
• Completed postgraduate training in Palliative Care, Rehabilitation Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and/or Family Medicine.
• Holds specialist accreditation from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and registration with the SMC in the relevant specialty.
• Has at least 10 years of post-qualification clinical experience.
• Demonstrates experience and a strong passion for working in the fields of geriatrics, rehabilitation, family medicine, and/or palliative care.
• A person of integrity who is highly motivated, effective, and able to foster strong interpersonal relationships while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other departments.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team which provides daily specialist outpatient and inpatient care in the Department of Cardiology. You will participate in ward rounds and combined department or hospital teaching seminars, including clinico-pathological case conferences. You will also represent the Centre at Coroner's request or medico-legal hearings involving patients under the care of the department. In addition, you will assist with the training and guidance of junior doctors such as Resident Physicians, Medical Officers, Residents and Senior Residents.

Requirements:

• A basic medical and relevant postgraduate qualification such as MRCP or equivalent, recognised by the Singapore Medical Council
• An accredited Specialist in Cardiology with the Specialist Accreditation Board of Singapore
• At least 6-8 years' post-housemanship clinical experience
• Documented proof of:

(i) Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

(ii) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
