Role purpose
The Construction Manager is responsible for the delivery of the Construction/Completion scope of work in compliance with the project HSSE, Quality and schedule requirements as defined in the construction execution plan. You provide the necessary Construction expertise to support the Project Construction Manager to make key strategic decisions.
Role contributions
Provide leadership to ensure the HSSE plan is understood and implemented by all Site project personnel assigned to your role. Measure effectiveness by meeting Group and Project HSSE targets.
Provide leadership to ensure the Quality Plan is understood and implemented by all Site Construction personnel. Lead the site Quality verification team for your scope. Measure effectiveness by meeting Group and Project quality targets and no violation of the Group Quality Golden Rules.
Ensure execution is compliant with the project yard contract. Liaise with relevant stakeholders for mobilization of resources. Escalate construction/completions issues to the Project Management team when necessary. Measure effectiveness by achievement of project construction milestones and safety/quality objectives.
Support the Project Delivery Manager during all Commercial meetings with the yard. Ensure reporting concerning construction/completions activities relevant to your scope is accurate and timely submitted. Ensure engineering and procurement changes are reviewed and assessed by the relevant Construction disciplines.
The measure of your effectiveness in this role includes the successful resolution of construction/completions schedule risks and accurate reporting of the level of completion.

This role is critical in ensuring all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems meet the highest international standards for efficiency, sustainability, and luxury guest experience, from initial design through to construction and handover.
Key ResponsibilitiesMEP Design Leadership & Project Review
- Lead MEP Design: Take ownership of the entire MEP design process for new construction and major renovation projects, ensuring designs are optimized for functionality, cost, energy efficiency, and long-term maintainability in a luxury resort environment.
- Review and Vetting: Conduct comprehensive, in-depth reviews of new MEP construction drawings, specifications, and system selections to ensure compliance with global brand standards, local codes, and best engineering practices.
- Value Engineering: Proactively identify and implement value engineering opportunities without compromising quality, guest comfort, or long-term asset value.
- Manage Consultants: Serve as the primary point of contact and lead manager for external MEP design consultants, specialty engineers, and contractors. Drive performance, manage scope, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

- Sustainability Focus: Champion the implementation of sustainable and energy-efficient technologies (e.g., HVAC, BMS, water treatment) in all new projects.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in MEP design and construction, with at least 5 years dedicated to managing large-scale new construction projects, preferably within the luxury hotel, integrated resort, or high-end commercial development sectors.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of international building codes, energy standards, and state-of-the-art MEP systems relevant to hospitality (e.g., central plant, complex BMS, vertical transportation, low voltage systems).
- Project Lifecycle: Must have hands-on experience covering the full lifecycle of a new build, from conceptual design and consultant selection through construction, commissioning, and final close-out.
