A construction estimator is responsible for analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.
Key Responsibilities:- Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements
- Preparing documents for bill of quantities, variation orders, cost estimate, cost control and budgeting
- Taking of quantities, sourcing subcontractors and suppliers, pricing
- Keeping track of materials ordered as well as rentals and requesting cash top up when required
- Document management, filing and folders management in server
- Preparing documents for calling of quote from subcontractors or suppliers
