Job Description
- Desired candidate will be part of the Visa Operations Command Center - monitoring all critical production applications (Commercial and Money Movement Solutions) and resolve or manage the prompt resolution of all incidents.
- Support project schedules and changes which can include participation in UAT testing, creation of process and procedures, and assist with training specific to team.
- Review and approve new alert handling procedures and ensure they are written clearly and can be carried out by all analysts.
- Team player who can independently work towards the deadline of critical projects. This will include tasks such as knowledge transfer between teams, understanding and adhering to organization’s standard while assisting in project deliverables.
- Chair and actively drive critical/major incident resolution to meet group MTTR objectives.
- Document and communicate critical milestones/progress of ongoing incidents on a bridge call timely and accurately.
- Accurately and promptly assess/solicit the impact, take ownership, and drive incidents to resolution as dictated by the impact and severity of the problem.
- Responsible for the internal and external communication of issues to users, other internal support groups and the customers via pages, email or phone.
- Correlate critical alerts on monitoring platform with actual system outages.
- Follow documented operations processes and work with appropriate groups to administer and maintain these policies to ensure standard approach is adopted during escalation or when implementing system changes.
- Provide an Operations and Support perspective in the adoption of new technologies and the implementation of new software.
- Resolve incidents promptly without escalation.
- Constantly follow-up on all open incidents and problem tickets to meet group objectives.
- Work on multiple platforms including ticket queue, mailbox, alert console and phone calls.
- Provide routine L1 system administration on multiple server platforms (Windows, Unix/Linux).
- Propose process/procedure improvements to better the department and services provided.
- Offer effective/sound recommendations to address repetitive issues.
Additional Information
Work Hours: This position requires the candidate to work 12 hours shift work during the day (with a 2 weeks rotation). When scheduled, the staff would be required to work on weekends and public holidays.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
•2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
•3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Hands on experience with Open Systems platforms (Windows & Unix/Linux, Solaris, SQL).

Our Client is seeking a talented Calypso Application Analyst Programmer to join their dynamic Capital Market Department
As Calypso Application Analyst Programmer, you are responsible of supporting users of IT applications and to respond their requests and resolve their incidents. You play a pivotal role between Business and all other IT roles on Run related topics. Following CMI Run processes standards and recommendations shared by Run Control Tower and contributes to their improvement. You will be either part of the Filière Support Team or part of a Delivery Team and take part to the Support Community.
Capital Markets IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and Regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API's, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.
The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market IT applications (in-house and package) used worldwide, covering Front Office (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade…), Back Office (Summit, Calypso…), Market data referential (Asset Control.), Market Risk (in-house application on big data technologies).
The Repo and Secured Funding (RSF) IT division, works across the full value chain to sustain business activity and enable its acceleration.
Within Post trade IT, this role aims to develop on the Calypso back-office package, in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the "run the bank" function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.

- Resolve incidents impacting users swiftly and efficiently. Thorough investigation and communication throughout the incident lifecycle. Proactive identification of workarounds. - Serve as the primary communication channel between IT and stakeholders. Collaboration with other support engineers, users, and other CMI and CAGIP stakeholders. Potential involvement in complementary tasks such as testing or business analysis.
- Follow CMI Run processes, standards, and recommendations provided by the Run Control Tower, actively contributing to their improvement.
Application Monitoring
- Define and implement the needed application monitoring for timely incident detection. Use monitoring as code whenever possible.
- Supervise and monitor daily and monthly batch chains, which take place during the Singapore morning and early afternoon time, to ensure that problems are swiftly analyzed and resolved to minimize down-time.
- Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality.
- Streamline processes to minimize manual intervention.
Incidents and Requests management (from business users and other IT teams)
- Provide level 2-level 3 application support to back-office users.
- Analyse and manage incidents/requests.
- Coordinate incidents impacting several teams.
Problem Management and continuous improvement
- Identify recurring problems and eliminate them.
- Provide requirements to build team for bug fixing and improvements.
- Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the applications in the scope of the team in coordination with build team and operations team.
