IT Security Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Security Engineer to enhance the IT Security posture of the entire EXEO Global Group. This role is critical in supporting our IT Manager in managing cybersecurity operations and maintaining compliance with ISO/IEC 27001. The ideal candidate should have initiative and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Support the IT Manager in planning, implementing, and maintaining security controls across all Group entities.
- Monitor, assess, and enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection, SIEM, etc.).
- Perform and support regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration tests. Coordinate remediation plans.
- Investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Assisting in reviewing and enforcing information security policies and procedures in line with ISO/IEC 27001 and group ISMS requirements.
- Assist in managing and tracking ISO27001 implementation, documentation, audits, and continual improvement activities.
- Collaborate with IT operations team, external vendors and various stakeholders to ensure security controls are integrated and adhered to across the Group.
- Maintain a current understanding of the evolving threat landscape and recommend improvements to strengthen the Group's overall security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in IT security or any IT related field.
- Experience supporting ISO27001 implementation or audits is preferred.
- Good knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cybersecurity principles.
- Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, firewalls).
- Familiar with security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PDPA, etc.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
