JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Security Architecture and Strategy, is a key role in continent security aspects responsible for assuring all functions of the Security Engagement Review (SER) Process are performed in a timely manner. The objective for this role entails being as a member of the Security Architecture and Strategy (SA) team as a coordinator role working within the SA team assigning engagements, verifying the SERs are moving forward, identifying challenges in completion of these assessments and removing obstacles to the completion. The coordinator will also work with teams outside SA to gather the required information for the completion of the SER, guide these teams during the process, and serve as the point of contact for any issues or questions that arise. The role will have a direct reporting line to the Director, Security Architect, APEC.

Other tasks which will make this role successful would include creating and giving presentations on the SER process and organization, including senior executive level associates, managing small projects, and a level of comfort in explaining basic security concepts. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required, as well as a good understanding of the various requirements in the region as drivers to security design and execution.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience Required:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity or related field
  • 3+ years IT/ information security work experience, preferably in a large organization
  • Experience in reviewing Security Architectures and explaining security risks/gaps as well as mitigation strategies is highly desirable
  • Professional certifications related to security assessment, such as CISA, CRISC, PCI ISA, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, etc.
  • The coordinator must have strong interpersonal communication skills, as well as organizational skills. Project management experience is also desirable.

Requirements
5 years' experience in cybersecurity domain.
Experience in management, deployment and maintenance of security infrastructure.
Experience in managing contractors and working in cross functional teams.
Experience in conducting security assessments, including threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
Maintaining current knowledge on cybersecurity tools, technologies and standards (e.g., OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Motivated and self-directed. Clear and logical thinking.
Strong technical foundation and willingness to learn new technology and approaches.
Possessing these skills and qualities can be advantageous:
Experience with modern IT approaches such as DevOps, Software Defined Networking & Platform, Infrastructure as Code, commercial cloud services and zero trust network.
Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, AWS or other cloud service security specialty.
Knowledge in applied cryptography, cryptographic primitives, post-quantum cryptography, security protocols and network security protocols (e.g., TLS, IPSec).
Familiarity with PKI, key management, hardware security modules (HSMs), and smart card technologies.

As a Senior Architecture Engineer, you’ll design, secure, & optimize infrastructure across hybrid cloud, on-prem, and network environments .

You’ll ensure IM8/CIS compliance, lead incident resolution, and guide junior engineers.

This is a fully on-site, full-time 12-month contract (renewable) role, requiring CAT 2 clearance.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Architect and secure network, VMware, and Dell EMC storage solutions
  • Configure and harden Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems to IM8/CIS standards
  • Administer Oracle DB, MS SQL, and NoSQL platforms
  • Lead cross-domain troubleshooting and incident resolution

As part of the team, you will research leading-edge design automation approaches for IC design, especially based on RISC V processors. You will provide an open source design flow to the team for IC design. You will research and provide advanced algorithmic approaches for design space exploration, especially for Post-Quantum Cryptographic (PQC) hardware accelerators.

Responsibilities
  • Research and develop an open source design flow for the design of a post-quantum secure RISC-V processor platform.
  • Conduct design space exploration, especially for design of Post-Quantum Cryptographic (PQC) accelerators.
  • Collaborate with experts in IC design and security to enable leading-edge IC design.
  • Write scientific manuscripts, contribute to project reports, and present findings at international conferences and stakeholder meetings.
Requirements
  • PhD in Electronic Design Automation from a reputable university. Candidates who have already submitted their Ph.D. thesis are welcome to apply.
  • Publications in Electronic Design Automation at premier conferences and in premier journals are considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising BSc and MSc students is strongly encouraged.
