Deliver the IB MYP/DP, College Board AP, BTEC, and/or Stamford course programs as designed by the Stamford academic team in a teacher’s absence
Engage a diverse student population in the target curriculum standards, recognizing and supporting their individual assets, identities, and needs
Support students’ holistic development through a range of formal programs and other contributions
Support the Stamford community through communications and responsibilities with a range of stakeholders
Position Requirements:
At least 3-5 years of experience in working with children (ages 14-18) as a grade teacher with relevant qualifications
MYP/IB/AP experience preferred
Advisory/Pastoral experience preferred
Possess highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills
Excellent verbal and written English skills
Good references on request
Proficiency in using school databases, communications platforms, and educational technology

Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent is required
Current Teacher Certification
Master’s degree in Education preferred

Commencing January 2026

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced High School Counsellor to provide social and emotional support to students in Grades 9–12. This is a non-academic counselling role focused on helping students navigate adolescence, manage emotional challenges, and develop resilience and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will be student-centered, culturally sensitive, and able to build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counselling to support students' emotional and social wellbeing
  • Address issues such as anxiety, stress, identity, peer relationships, grief, and personal challenges
  • Collaborate with school staff to identify and support students experiencing emotional difficulties
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
  • Develop and deliver wellbeing programs, workshops, and preventative education initiatives
  • Liaise with external mental health professionals when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Certified or licensed counsellor or therapist (or equivalent qualification)
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience working with adolescents, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health, and trauma-informed practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
