Overview

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and test lasers, laser sub-assemblies, and components according to documented specifications.
• Handle fiber splicing, routing, pig-tailing, and operate laser diodes.
• Troubleshoot fiber-based assemblies and laser diode issues.
• Perform fiber-based assembly and optical alignment to specifications.
• Integrate optical, mechanical, and electrical sub-assemblies into system units with testing.
• Install and align optical, mechanical, and optical sub-assemblies into systems using precision instruments.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
• Technical competence in optical, mechanical, or electrical assembly.
• Ability to assemble subsystems and interpret technical instructions.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues.

Position Overview
We are currently hiring a Biotechnologist to join the manufacturing operations team at a leading biopharmaceutical facility. This shift-based role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hands-on, regulated environment and are passionate about ensuring quality in healthcare manufacturing.
In this role, you will execute defined production procedures, ensure accurate and timely documentation, and support day-to-day plant operations. The position also involves basic laboratory tasks, routine equipment monitoring, and adherence to GMP standards and safety protocols.
The role requires physical activity in a cleanroom setting and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to perform a 12-hour rotating shift pattern (day and night) is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Learn & perform well-defined procedures
Executes batch records, ensuring right-first time and accurate documentation
Use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), logbooks & Batch Records (BRs) or other GMP documents effectively & competently
Understand in general the BR and logbook review process/ workflow
Involve in hands-on execution of the plant operations and performing trouble-shooting
Monitor and analyze processing parameters for atypical trends and improvement opportunities
Pursue ongoing training to increase knowledge & understanding
Attain good understanding of cGMP requirements & compliance within a GMP manufacturing setting
Perform assigned tasks (by Section Lead/ Manager) both with and without supervision
Perform equipment monitoring & basic 6S housekeeping
Perform basic laboratory tasks (e.g. sampling, pH/ conductivity/ osmolality measurements etc.)
Perform routine sanitization tasks to maintain facility standards
Demonstrate aseptic technique in the handling of product/ materials
Able to multi-task on equipment preparations & operations to ensure adherence to schedule
Display basic process & equipment troubleshooting ability under routine
Able to perform physical activities in a clean room environment and be on the feet most of the time. Able to perform manual work (> 60% of activities) in a buddy system that includes standing, carrying items that weigh up to 12 kg, or moving equipment
