Job Description:

We are currently looking for a dedicated Part-time Science Teacher to join our team as an Extracurricular Subjects Teacher. This role primarily focuses on providing engaging and enriching science education to children aged 4 years and above.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

Educational Qualification: The successful candidate should have at least a Diploma in Science or an equivalent qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in the subject.

Job Responsibilities:

Instruction and Student Learning

• Teach Science, lessons based on MindChamps curriculum, aligned to the latest MOE syllabus.
• Incorporate MindChamps Art of Learning techniques (e.g., learning strategies, process working methods, study skills) into all lessons.
• Engage learners with interactive, differentiated teaching approaches that encourage curiosity, confidence, and mastery.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the individual needs of learners across different learning levels.
• Regularly assess student progress through worksheets, quizzes, formative feedback, and mock tests.

Student Progress Monitoring and Feedback

• Provide timely and constructive feedback to learners on their academic performance.
• Maintain accurate student records of performance and grades , and prepare Half-Yearly Progress Reports with actionable improvement plans.
• Work closely with parents by communicating learner progress and recommendations in a professional and empathetic manner on a regular basis (eg, once every 2 weeks)

Classroom and Centre Collaboration

• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and orderly classroom environment that fosters active participation and respect.
• Contribute to centre-wide events such as Open Houses, Holiday Programs, and Enrichment Activities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, assistant teachers, and the Centre Manager to ensure smooth and high-quality programme delivery.
