Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Science Laboratory Support Associate to provide administrative support to our teachers and Heads of Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our science laboratories, as well as supporting the procurement and replenishment of laboratory equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide project-based administrative support to teachers and Heads of Department.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of science laboratories.
- Support the procurement and replenishment of laboratory equipment and materials.
- Manage the collection, distribution, and inventory of teaching and learning materials.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of teaching resources.
- Minimum Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level qualification, with at least 3 'O' Level passes.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Science Laboratory Assistant or similar role.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The project aims to develop EmoRoom (Emotion + Classroom), an interactive visual analytics system to analyze and summarize student emotions from classroom videos, using emotion recognition algorithms and intuitive visualizations of data output. This development reflects broader efforts regarding the creation of an intuitive graphical user interface for use by education stakeholders without programming backgrounds (e.g., practitioners), and is expected to help research learning emotions and guide teacher professional development in the area of Social-Emotional Learning.
Job Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related field. Candidates with a PhD may be considered for a Research Fellow position instead.
