JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Maintenance of Nutrition Food Science rooms
- Able to maintain orderliness of the NFS food lab (kitchen), and preparation room. Such as washing and drying of cleaning cloth, aprons and food science equipment
- Organize & tidy student work unit such as tabletops, drawers & sinks after each lesson and any other duties related to the maintenance of the NFS room.
- Manage the equipment and appliances in the NFS food lab(kitchen) (need to be familiar with food science equipment)
- Assist in checking that the main gas tap, electrical switches (oven) and knives safely kept under lock & key.
Food Preparation
- Able to manage the preparation of ingredients for lessons such as the cutting, weighing and packing of ingredients prior to lesson
- Organize ingredients and equipment in the kitchen, which includes the repacking of ingredients into proper storage areas (refrigerator, cupboards).
- Able to operate some of the kitchen and food science equipment such as hand held blender, electric streamer, rice cooker, refractometer etc.
Administrative duties
- Able to manage the process of accepting and verifying food orders.
- Able to support all NFS teachers in the food lab(kitchen) at all times (excluding lunch time & scheduled breaks)
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferably with Basic Food Hygiene or Food Handling Course Certificate.
- Prior working experience in school environments is preferred.
- Prior experience in food handling, kitchen, or simple administrative duties.
- Should be able to work efficiently and independently.

- Working hours and days: Between Monday to Friday, school operating hours can vary. To specify working hours upon job recommendation. Do take note school operating hours can start as early as 630am/7am onwards.

Train the PA crew (comprises of pupil volunteers) to take charge of the Public Address System equipment / service during events;
Maintain PA systems in the organization – monitor, troubleshoot, provide maintenance and escalate unresolved problems to relevant vendors; coordinate with vendors on site where installation and repair works are required.
Audio-Visual Resources
Manage AV equipment during all major events.
Handle all AV set-up requests for events – ensure requests made by staff and external parties (pre-approved by P/VP) are met.

Provide consultation to HOD (IT) on the AV needs of the event and work with vendors to propose solutions that meet the PA / AVA needs of the event in terms of technical specifications and market pricing.
Assist the HOD (IT) in the purchase of AV equipment and services based on event’s needs (through bulk tenders, calling tenders and quotations), bearing in mind the Compliance Guidelines for the organization on Procurement.
Provide assistance in the condemnation of AV Resources.
Manage AV equipment in classrooms and all other special rooms and monitor the equipment usage and maintenance on a termly basis.
Broadcast System
Provide support for broadcast studio usage;
Maintain the organization TV broadcast system.
Job Requirements
Minimum Olevel/NITEC/HNITEC/Diploma in related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Prior working experience in school environments is preferred
Candidates should be well versed in AV equipment, AV setup and deployment.
Candidates who have knowledge in IT troubleshooting will be preferred.
