Duties
- Check and mark student attendance.
- Progress Development Report.
- Mark students' classwork and homework.
- Prepare students' booklets.
- Manage students' booklet ordering and assignment.
- Update Parents Report.
- Set-up and set-down class.
- Attend monthly meeting.
- Conduct Math enrichment classes in assigned preschool at various locations throughout the island
Requirements
- Approximately 2.5 hours per day in the afternoon
- Working Days – 3 or 4 days a week (Monday to Fridays)
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in a preschool or childcare setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Lesson plans and materials will be provided
- Closest available locations will be allocated

Knowledge and Understanding
- Possess the specialist learning support knowledge for the role to develop resources and strategies to enable student learning
- Have standard English and Maths competencies
- Understand SEN definitions and strategies
Student Support
- Collaborate as part of the Learning Support team in the implementation of strategies for students on the Individual Needs register
- Contribute to the production and review of Individual Needs Plans for students
- Assist identified students in bridging knowledge gaps
- In-class support with individuals/groups of children
- Work with small groups of children out of class to provide intervention support, for example in: english, maths, planning and fine motor skills
- Plan group work sessions such as guided reading in conjunction with the Head of Individual Needs
