As a Project Control Manager in the oil and gas industry, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the project control activities for various oil and gas projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Your role will involve coordinating with project teams, monitoring project progress, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and optimize project outcomes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and implement project control processes, procedures, and systems to effectively manage project scope, schedule, cost, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Establish project baselines for scope, schedule, and budget, and regularly monitor and report on project performance against these baselines.
- Identify potential risks, issues, and deviations from project plans, and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Monitor project expenditures, track project costs, and analyze cost variances to ensure adherence to budget constraints and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, including critical path analysis, resource allocation, and milestone tracking, to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Prepare regular project status reports, progress updates, and performance dashboards for project stakeholders, including management, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct project performance reviews, lessons learned sessions, and post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to project control team members, ensuring their professional development and effective contribution to project success.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in project control, project management, or related roles in the oil and gas industry, with specific experience in upstream, midstream, or downstream projects.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques, and tools, including project scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change management.
- Familiarity with oil and gas industry practices, processes, and regulations, including safety standards, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools, for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret and analyze complex project data and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and influence others to achieve project objectives.
