THE WORK:
Are you ready to be an SME in SAP FI CO Finance, collaborate, and manage the team to perform? Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. Provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams. Join us in this exciting opportunity!
Develop and execute end-to-end project management activities
Define project scope with key stakeholders and effectively manage milestones and dependencies
Support the management of financial, contractual, and operational commitments
Monitor delivery performance and quality using metrics and status reporting

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Manager / Manager, you'll assist in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the ERP advisory market. These are shared with all EY market facing organizations to provide consistency and common platforms with which to go to market. A willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated to be up to 70-90%.

People Management: Effectively lead the team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

Project Management: Participate in large scale SAP client engagements. Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. Should be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable interfacing with a client on a daily basis. This role requires daily interaction with the client at many levels.

  • Skilled in “team leadership” – adhering to the project methodology and PMO processes/procedures, planning the data team’s work, leading local and offshore resources, reporting status, logging and escalating risks/issues/decisions, participating in program governance, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with SAP Finance
  • Effectively team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise domain knowledge with technology skills.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's or Master’s degree and 5 -15 years of related work experience at minimum;
  • A degree in computer science, accounting, finance or a related field (MBA or Business Undergraduate degree preferred). SAP certification/s highly preferred.
  • At minimum 5 – 7 years of experience working with SAP Finance modules (FI, CO, CO-PC, COPA – S/4HANA experience preferred), as well as participation in multiple full life cycle SAP implementations required.
  • Experience with implementing and advanced knowledge of SAP Finance and including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets
  • Experience with implementing SAP Finance and integrations to SD, MM, PP, PM, etc. to support product cost controlling and margin analysis
  • Experience with leading business blueprint, gathering and documenting business requirements and designing SAP enabled solutions
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional team members with complex schedules against a published plan
  • Team lead expertise – stream planning, status reporting, managing governance, managing the team against the plan, escalating risks/issues/decisions/changes, budget management, etc.
  • Development of project documentation including business process flows, training materials, requirements gathering and project management methodology experience required.
  • Experience with all aspects of cost controlling and management accounting within an ERP system.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience with Central Finance, with focus on central payments implementation
  • Experience with cost accounting, product costing/inventory valuation, margin analysis
  • Experience in finance strategy and finance operations, including A/R, A/P, capital management, asset management, financial accounting, and reporting systems a plus. As well as knowledge of budgeting, planning and forecasting operations and technology a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities across typical phases of an SAP project:

Opportunity Pursuit:

  • Ability to take lead in shaping the deals, prepare solutions, approach/timelines, team sizing, cost estimates, etc.
  • Ability to present and articulate value in Orals presentations.

Analyze Phase:

  • Ability to understand client business model / requirements / pain points
  • Ability to understand big picture vision of the transformation program and prepare a plan to drive the day-to-day execution of the project.

Design Phase:

  • Ability to explain best practices to clients.
  • Ability to respectfully challenge clients and convince them on their mindset of customizing everything in SAP.
  • Ability to conduct workshops across all finance processes and articulate messages extremely clearly.
  • Ability to convince clients to make key design decisions (eg: one common chart of accounts OR decentralized chart of accounts)

Data Migration:

  • Ability to take lead in shaping the deals, prepare solutions, approach/timelines, team sizing, cost estimates, etc.
