Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and skilled Environmental Control Officer to join our team. As an ECO, you will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with company safety policies and the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act.
• You will develop and implement a comprehensive Safety Program that includes risk assessments, safe work procedures, and daily safety inspections.
• Additionally, you will advise on work plans, lead colleagues in fostering a culture of safety, and prepare weekly safety reports for management and clients.
• Your expertise in WSHE legislation and regulations, including the WSH Act and environmental laws, will be essential in this role.

Requirements

• A minimum Diploma in Building, Civil, or Structural Engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with HDB is necessary.
• You must be physically fit, healthy, hardworking, and driven.
• Certifications in ECO and ECMO are also mandatory.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Your Mission

• Lead the food safety and compliance agenda across 6 countries, overseeing local execution through direct reports in each market

• Develop and implement regional frameworks for HACCP, SOPs, food recall management, and issue resolution
• Design and roll out internal audit programs, dashboards, and regional scorecards with clear KPIs and action plans
• Coach and develop your country-level food safety managers, ensuring alignment with regional strategy and local execution
• Be the senior point of contact for regulatory bodies, supporting high-level discussions and risk management
• Ensure business continuity and food safety readiness across all countries, especially during incidents or crises

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in food safety, compliance, or quality management, ideally with regional oversight
• Proven track record leading multi-country teams and managing distributed direct reports
• Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, GHP) and regulated product compliance
• Confident in managing stakeholders across operations, legal, and government agencies
• Analytical mindset, excellent communicator, and hands-on when needed
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel across the region based on needs

Job scope

• Oversee and coordinate fire protection system installations across designated sites
• Assist operation manager in planning, scheduling, and site execution activities
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities on project matters
• Ensure site works comply with safety regulations, project timelines, and fire codes
• Review technical drawings, monitor material delivery, and prepare project documentation
• Review and align Fire protection design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines (Sprinkler System, Fire Alarm System, Hosereel System, Wet/Dry riser system, Fire Hydrant System, Fire man intercom system)
• To attend meeting with contractors to address issues and update progress
• To lead tender preparation and execution thru tenderboard.
