Job Overview: Ensure 100% compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and maritime regulations for robotic ship-cleaning operations. Lead on-site safety checks, permit applications (MPA/PSA), and crew training to minimize risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

  • 5 to 7 years of working experience in driving operational safety in a chemical or refining work environment
  • Experience in development and operationalisation of workplace safety program
  • Solution provider to safety challenges, good in writing safety standards and procedures
  • Familiar with local WSH regulations and have experience dealing with local regulators such as MHD, MOM, NEA, SCDF, etc.
  • Minimum WSQ Specilalist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health. Bachelor degree in chemical / process / process safety engineering field will be an added advantage.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead the safety team in the implementation of Company’s safety systems

  • Liaise and communicate well with site operations staffs, project managers, contractors and third parties on all safety and health issues

  • Assist in accident reporting and investigations as well as tool box meetings

  • Inspect & rectify any unsafe practices and conditions at the worksite

  • Assist in all areas of safety planning and incident prevention

  • Conduct safety inspections regularly to ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance to MOM safety requirements

  • To follow-up on necessary actions to ensure compliance with ISO and OHSAS standards

  • Assist WSHO to establish, update, maintain, and implement the Safety and Health Management System

  • To assist WSHO for all safety promotional activities, safety audits, safety meetings and execution of safety programmes

  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health and/or other relevant certificates

  • Minimum 2 years of construction experience

  • Good Communication Skills
