As an H&S Director, you will develop and implement high-level safety strategies that align with business objectives. You will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a proactive safety culture across the organisation. 1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Vision & Strategy
- Review, revise, and oversee the Company's health & Safety vision and mission
- Coordinate with executive team to develop and oversee the Company's health and safety strategy in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices
- Partner with the executive team to integrate safety considerations into business operations and strategic planning and be a subject matter expert
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor and report on key health and safety metrics, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and improve safety performance.
- Regularly share information and lessons learned about accidents and dangerous situations to promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Coordinate and animate the Asia Pacific (APAC) network of health and safety correspondants
Risk Management and Incident response
- Identify, assess, and develop strategies to mitigate workplace hazards, conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement across the business.
- Overseeing the strategy behind risk mitigation and controls.
- Overseeing the strategy of reporting any events/incidents as soon as reasonably practical.
Safety inductions & Briefings
- Conduct regular safety visits by management to discuss risk perception and ensure that safety procedures are understood and followed
- Ensure that all employees and contractors receive safety inductions and briefings before starting work on any site
Compliance & Policy
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and industry standards.
- Design, implement, and monitor corporate health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety.
- Understanding and overseeing the implementing of the company health and safety policy
Training & Development
- Overseeing the strategy that drive appropriate personal training/competence to carry out the prescribed task and that the necessary licenses/certificates of competence are current and appropriate.
- Offer specific training modules dedicated to occupational health and safety, and ensure continuous learning programs like the VINCI Energies Academy's trainings are rolled out across APAC
Employee engagement & Wellbeing
- Champion workplace well-being programs that enhance employee health and safety beyond compliance requirements
- Safety network: create and educate a network to have safety fully embedded in our culture
- Setting a personal example on all matters of health and safety and participating in Perimeter/BU worker participation practices.
