Seeking an experienced Weather Routing Analyst to support their Weather Routing Operational Center and contribute to optimizing vessel performance and safety at sea. This is an ashore role based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect operational data (vessel tracking, SatComs, characteristics, constraints) 72–24 hours prior to departure.
* Generate optimized routes and speed recommendations using advanced weather routing software.
* Deliver accurate meteorological and oceanographic forecasts and assist captains in voyage planning.
* Provide remote support to vessels during voyages, particularly in adverse weather conditions.
* Monitor vessel performance, fuel consumption, and adherence to recommended routes.
* Establish post-voyage reports, analyzing forecast vs. actual conditions and advising on claims when necessary.
* Liaise directly with captains, offering real-time support and expert navigation advice.
* Contribute feedback on routing software and operational processes to support continuous improvement.
Requirement:-
* **Sea Experience:**
- Navigation officer during 2 years at least within the last 4 years, including Passage Planing preparations
- Officer of the Watch on Transoceanic vessels during 4 years at least (TransAtlantic, TransPacific crossings
- Practical use of weather routing softwares or services
- Rough seas navigation strong feedback
- Experience managing vessels fleet performance.
**Preferred:**
* Experience in a Weather Routing or Operational Monitoring Center.
* Background as officer on gas carriers, tankers, container vessels, bulk carriers, or passenger ships.
* Experience as Chief Mate or Second Engineer.
* Exposure to polar navigation.
* Certified studies in meteorology or oceanography.
* Experience providing onsite technical support to maritime companies.
* Familiarity with operational and seakeeping software.
* Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and data visualization tools.

The company is looking for a weather routing analyst with good experience in passage planning and seagoing experience in rough sea. The job will be mainly office-based.
We are open to hire global talent to be sitted in Singapore, Canada and France.
The Job:
- Plan and optimize vessel routes using weather routing tools and operational data.
- Provide forecasts, voyage advice, and safety guidance to captains before and during sailings.
- Optimize all vessels routes - Monitor vessel performance, fuel consumption, and budget efficiency.
- Prepare post-voyage reports and support claim management when required.
- Collaborate with captains and shore teams to improve operational processes.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
The Talent:
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Meteorology, or related field.
- Chief Master or 2nd officer with seagoing experience across rough sea
- Officer of the Watch on vessels during 2 years at least within the last 6 years, including Passage Planning preparations
- Practical use of weather routing softwares or services
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Develop automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage scale and monitor their applications in data centers and in cloud.
- System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains, expect to participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot customer facing issues.
- Take ownership of end-to-end solutions provided by teams across the organisation.
- Deploy and manage monitoring tools of infrastructure performance, utilization and health to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Implement configuration management system for business continuity management and automate disaster recovery measures.
- Implement security practices that comply with standards to protect the organisation’s data and infrastructure.
- Experience Required : 4-8 years
- Location: Singapore
- Excellent knowledge on the fundamentals such as IPv4/IPv6 addressing, VLAN, switching and routing configurations, Application performance management using Load balancers, Server Operating Systems (such as Windows and Linux) networking and OSI layer Protocols.
- Experience in designing, implementing, operating and troubleshooting networking devices and technologies (Structured Cabling, WAN, LAN, Network Security, Wireless and Voice) in standardised operating environment.
- Experience in one or more provisioning tools for network infrastructure such as Ansible, Vagrant, Docker, Puppet to manage configurations using automation.
- Skills essential for the role would be Firewall/IDS/IPS rules optimisation, load balancing of applications, network devices configuration & hardening, NAT, DNS, DHCP and Wireless network health management.
- Understanding of security concepts such as Network Access Control (NAC), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Cybersecurity threats and mitigations, Content Distribution Network (CDN).
- Understanding of networking technologies such as Software Defined Infrastructure (SD-WAN, Open Vswitch, VXLan, OpenFlow, OpenStack and CloudStack), Network Functions Virtualization (operate network functions in virtual machines), Secure Access Service Edge ( Zero Trust Network Access, Cloud Access Security Broker
