**JOB SUMMARY**
The position is responsible to execute sales strategies effectively implemented for rooms and catering business. The position conducts analysis of revenue, profit and demand associated with hotel rooms and space inventory. Responsibilities include forecasts, budgets, weekly and daily projections in accurate and timely submission. The position critiques sales strategy effectiveness and prepares historical and future analysis of revenue and profit opportunities. In addition, the position oversees the inventory management system to verify appropriateness of agreed upon selling strategies. Responsibilities include but not limit to maintains the transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s) and responsible for maximizing transient revenue. The Revenue Manager releases group rooms back into general inventory and ensures clean booking windows for customers by effectively coordinating with sales, reservation and operation department. Responsible for building rates, packages and hotel sales strategy information in the hotel/s Revenue Management systems.

Education and Experience
+ A degree or diploma from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
OR
+ 3 years experiences in the revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

**Managing and Executing Revenue Management Projects and Strategy**
+ Ensures hotels' sales strategies are effectively implemented in the reservation and inventory systems
+ Uses reservations systems and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement and control selling strategies
+ Manages room and function space authorizations, rates and restrictions
+ Maintains effective and rational pricing strategies for rooms and function space
+ Prepares sales strategy critique
+ Ensures pricing compliance and participation in company promotions
+ Ensures all hotels follow brand strategies and standards that will maintain and/or increase hotels' RevPAR
+ Promotes and protects brand equity
+ Understand the working relationships between sales, reservations and front office

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conducts strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analyses to gain competitor intelligence and an internal pulse of revenue management elements.
  • Develops strategies (e.g., account strategies, rate increases, metrics, impact to internal departments, tools, competitor analysis process, profit improvement initiatives, etc.) to meet business needs and maximize UPS’s profitability and market position.
  • Reviews strategic recommendations with senior management (i.e., department leaders of Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Sales, etc.) to build cross-functional consensus.
  • Communicates strategies to regions and countries to explain underlying business rationale and to facilitate implementation.
  • Performs and documents root cause investigation of client characteristics versus plan to facilitate the development of action plans.
  • Leads the development of an account specific action plan utilizing the appropriate customer profitability management levers for each client situation to improve profitability
  • Leads the cross-functional effort of customer profitability management for Enterprise and Small and Medium-size business customers.
  • Develops annual HIC goals and update changes to the HIC process.
  • Actively engages in each step of the CPM process and ensures that action plans are thorough and complete.
  • Works in conjunction with sales management to ensure that plans are implemented in a timely and responsible manner.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert to sales personnel to support engagement with customers, particularly in modifications to action plans resulting from customer negotiations.
  • Presents revenue and revenue quality performance results to the Business Planning Unit
  • Identifying areas where Revenue Management strategy can be implemented to drive sustainable profit growth
  • Develops profit goals and measurement for revenue management portion of Special Projects requested by Marketing/Sales.
  • Manages the communication and sets up regular review meetings for those projects
  • Streamline and strengthen internal processes and administration tools to drive efficiency, respond to market dynamic, capture growth, and ensure user-friendly experience.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields.
  • Possess at least 5 years of related Revenue Management experience. Prior knowledge of freight forwarding industry would be a plus.
  • Prior people management experience will be advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with different stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and able to work under pressure
  • Display strong analytical skills and business acumen, with working proficiency of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI)

  • Actively engages in each step of the CPM process and ensures that action plans are thorough and complete.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert to sales personnel to support engagement with customers, particularly in modifications to action plans resulting from customer negotiations.

Job Requirements

  • Prior people management experience will be advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with different stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and able to work under pressure
  • Display strong analytical skills and business acumen, with working proficiency of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI)

  • Conducts strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analyses to gain competitor intelligence and an internal pulse of revenue management elements.
  • Develops strategies (e.g., account strategies, rate increases, metrics, impact to internal departments, tools, competitor analysis process, profit improvement initiatives, etc.) to meet business needs and maximize UPS’s profitability and market position.
  • Reviews strategic recommendations with senior management (i.e., department leaders of Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Sales, etc.) to build cross-functional consensus.
  • Communicates strategies to regions and countries to explain underlying business rationale and to facilitate implementation.
  • Performs and documents root cause investigation of client characteristics versus plan to facilitate the development of action plans.
