We specialize in Korean Beauty & Wellness, bringing leading names like WELLAGE, Ilso, and Dermafirm, as well as premium international brands such as Malin+Goetz, to major retailers across Singapore, including Watsons, Guardian, and Unity. With expansion underway across multiple markets, we're on a mission to become the go-to partner for beauty, health, and wellness brands to launch and scale in Asia.
We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to ensure our brands are consistently well-presented, fully stocked, and compliant with brand standards across Singapore's retail landscape. This role is at the heart of how consumers experience our products in-store—making sure every shelf, display, and promotion reflects the quality and story of the brand.
This is a field-based, hands-on role, where you will manage multiple stores across Singapore, working closely with store staff and internal teams to execute merchandising plans, implement promotions, and maintain strong stock visibility. You will play a key part in maximizing brand presence and sales performance on the shop floor, ensuring our products stand out in a competitive retail environment.
What You Will Do
- Manage merchandising for up to 40 stores across Singapore.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure planogram compliance, correct display setups, POS materials, testers, and discount cards are properly in place.
- Monitor stock levels in each store and coordinate with store staff to prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Ensure proper inventory control and FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation on shelves.
- Report on shelf conditions, competitor activity, and promotion compliance with photo evidence and store visit reports.
- Build strong working relationships with store managers, supervisors, and sales staff to ensure smooth merchandising execution.
- Support the execution of promotional campaigns and new product launches in-store.
Who You Are
- Prior experience in merchandising is a must (preferably in beauty categories).
- Highly detail-oriented with strong ownership of on-ground execution.
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with store staff and internal colleagues.
- Proficient in English
- Able to work independently, reliable, and organized in managing multiple store visits.
- Physically fit and comfortable with a field-based role involving travel across stores.
Work Schedule
- 5.5-day work week (44 hours).
- Must be prepared to work weekends and overtime during peak periods (e.g., launches, major promotions).
Why Join Markato?
- Be the face of top Korean and international beauty brands inside Singapore's largest retail chains.
- Hands-on experience in retail operations and beauty merchandising.
- Join a high-growth, fun, and ambitious team passionate about scaling beauty & wellness brands in Asia.
- Career growth opportunities – as Markato expands rapidly across APAC, strong performers in merchandising can grow into supervisory or account management roles.
