• Establish rapport with residents through active listening and engagement using verbal and non-verbal communication in a non-judgmental manner.
• Provide daily engagements and companionship to residents who are at higher risk of isolation due to residents' inability to participate in group activities.
• Carry out meaningful and enjoyable activities for residents, taking into consideration their individual wishes and preferences.
• Provide timely documentation on the engagements and observations.
• Highlight residents' concerns to the Medical Social Worker (MSW), where necessary.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• NITEC in Community Care & Social Services / ITE / GCE 'O' Levels
• Able to communicate with seniors who are mandarin speaking and/or chinese dialect speaking
• Love working with seniors
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• On the job training will be provided
• This is a Part-Time position, candidate must be able to work either 3 full days or 4 to 5 half days on weekdays.

The Senior Operations Manager oversees the effective and lawful operation of the Welfare Home, ensuring the well-being and development of residents. This role is responsible for maintaining statutory compliance, facility standards, and financial governance.

• Maintain a high-performing team by providing guidance, support, and coaching to staff members.
• Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of programmes and services.
• Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet the needs of residents and stakeholders.

• Minimum degree in Social Work or Psychology, or relevant experience in the social service sector.
• At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience in a related field.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.

Responsibilities
Work together with a multi-disciplinary team to develop care plans for residents, periodically review them and assure that the goals for each care plan are rational and relevant.
Respond in a timely fashion to resident’s change in function or condition.
Inform residents of their health status and enable residents to exercise self-determination including advance directives.
Conduct rounds with the staff nurse in charge to ensure care plans are being carried out.
Conduct regular resident check-ups and diagnosis of ailments, prescribe medication and refer resident(s) for further specialist check-ups where required.
Formulate enhanced care philosophy for nursing staff.
Requirements
Basic medical degree recognized by Singapore Medical Council.
Registered with Singapore Medical Council with full registration.
Relevant experience working with elderly patients, or those with Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine / Family Medicine or relevant disciplines will be advantageous.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
