Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate laboratory equipment and instruments according to standard instructions.
- Perform tests based on analysis plans or ad-hoc requests to monitor production processes, and record results.
- Communicate test results to relevant operations personnel.
- Prepare reagents and standards required for analysis, calibration, and synthesis.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in proper working order, troubleshoot malfunctions, and carry out calibration, verification, and preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Manage laboratory supplies, including purchasing and monitoring of chemicals and consumables.
- Participate in risk assessment activities and comply with safe laboratory practices.
- Provide training and technical support to laboratory technicians.
- Assist in method development and validation activities.
- Cover duties in other laboratory streams as assigned.
- Write, review, and update laboratory operation procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure quality documentation is kept up to date.
- Organize ad-hoc analysis requests with third-party laboratories.
- Assist in handling customer complaint samples and investigations.
- Manage retention samples of final products and raw materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology, or a related science.
- Proven experience in laboratory research and testing.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
