Your role is to manage and drive adoption of the Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) for the Data Centre (DC) sector and other digital infrastructure related grants. The EEG supports IMDA’s effort to make DCs in Singapore more sustainable, by helping their end-users to upgrade to more energy efficient IT equipment.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with industry and agencies (e.g. Enterprise Singapore, National Environmental Agency) to update and publish the list of EEG-supported IT equipment.
• Process grant applications and claims in compliance with overall grant policy, approval frameworks (e.g. IMDA’s Financial Approving Authority) and procedures. This includes verifying accuracy and completeness of grant and claim submissions, and engaging applicants / grantees on issues raised.
• Develop and maintain documentation outlining grant and claim verification procedures and standards.
• Conduct on-site checks to verify information such as installation of EEG-supported IT equipment.
• Conduct research and analysis of market trends and grant data, including on grant adoption.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (such as MDDI, MOF, etc) to update on the progress of the project.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategy to promote EEG adoption, such as co-ordinating industry engagement activities.

Requirements:

• Background in Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, Data Analytics or related.
• Experience in grant administration or related roles will be viewed favourably.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL) will be viewed favourably.
• Ability to work and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join the newly established Yeow Lab at the Cancer Science Institute (CSI), National University of Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to help build a lab from the ground up and play an active role in shaping its culture

Cell division is fundamental to life, but when dysregulated, it drives cancer. Our lab aims to uncover cancer-specific vulnerabilities within the cell division machinery and translate these insights into new therapeutic strategies. We are also deeply interested in the TRIM family of E3 ubiquitin ligases and how they regulate large protein assemblies involved in mitosis, immune signalling, and protein homeostasis.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on scientific work and the organizational side of research — managing workflows, maintaining structure, and enabling others to succeed. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator to set up the lab, support daily operations, and contribute to ongoing projects.

Duties & Responsibilitie

• Laboratory Commissioning & Setup
• Work with the Principal Investigator (PI) to set up and organize the lab space, including equipment procurement, installation, and calibration.
• Establish and maintain laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate with institutional facilities, vendors, and IT to ensure operational readiness.
• Oversee inventory and handle procurement of lab supplies and reagents.
• Experimental Research Support
• Perform routine cell and molecular biology experiments, including mammalian cell culture, cloning, and immunoblotting.
• Assist with ongoing experiments led by other lab members, with training provided where needed.
• Data Collection & Analysis
• Collect, organize, and document data using electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
• Collaborative & Administrative Tasks
• Provide operational support to lab members and contribute to the smooth coordination of projects.
• Ensure compliance with institutional safety and operational guidelines.
  
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the Life Sciences (e.g., Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related fields)
• Prior experience in lab setup and management is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
