The Research Associate is responsible for supporting the research function in the office. The incumbent primarily works with a senior research analyst to assist in fundamental research on companies. Responsibilities include report writing, financial modelling, and maintaining multiple databases.

The Research Associate should view their role as an integral part of the team’s success. They should be effective team contributors, actively generate ideas for team development, communicate issues requiring action, support each other, and seek help when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Analysts in covering diverse sectors such as Industrials, Healthcare, and Internet.
• Perform due diligence, write research reports, and condense research ideas into PPT presentations.
• Maintain databases of economic and industry-specific data.
• Accompany clients on visits and produce notes on all visits.
• Maintain sound working relationships with corporates, clients, government, and industry organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a business-related discipline, preferably with Finance and/or Accounting major.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Research Associate or in a related role in a large accounting firm is an advantage.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Research Engineer or Research fellow in Software Engineering.
• Strong research background in AI, ML, and SE.
• Experience working with generative AI technologies (e.g. GPT-4, BedRock).
• Experience in developing tools or frameworks that utilize AI/ML to enhance software development processes.
• Experience in developing and prototyping in Python and R.
• Understanding of software development processes and terminology.
• Familiarity with techniques for automated code generation, program synthesis, or software testing using AI/ML.
