Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) was established through a landmark collaboration between two world-class institutions; Duke University and National University of Singapore, with the objective of providing innovative education and impactful research that enhance the practice of medicine in Singapore and beyond.

The Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) was established at Duke-NUS in 2014 with the mission of forming regional platforms and networks to grow competencies, build capacity and promote thought leadership in regulatory science and health policy in the Asia Pacific, with a focus on South-East Asia.

CoRE is seeking a dedicated and experienced Scientific Officer to support the technical and operational functions of SDO. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing national objectives related to the development and implementation of health product manufacturing standards, with the following key responsibilities:

• Identify industry needs and emerging trends for standard development in medical devices and quality management systems, aligned with Singapore Standards Council's objectives.
• Support the development and promotion of national and international standards in collaboration with industry partners.
• Review existing standards with stakeholders to ensure continued relevance and accuracy.
• Drive stakeholder engagement for standard adoption through events such as launches, conferences, and workshops.
• Support the administration and coordination of technical committees and working groups.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or MD/MBBS with at least 2 years' relevant work experience in healthcare regulation or medical devices quality management.
• Relevant work experience in health product regulation, medical devices, quality management systems, or standards development is preferred.
• Familiarity with digital health and the Singapore's healthcare innovation ecosystem.

Our aim is to conduct rapid, cost-effective randomised controlled trials to deliver relevant and high-quality evidence to guide clinical practice. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Research Associate with strong project management expertise to support a regional initiative that aims to develop and evaluate community engagement strategies in clinical trials. This role involves end-to-end project management as the primary focus and will also support research activities. This position will work closely with principal investigators, country leads and research teams, and external partners to drive operational excellence, compliance, and impact.

Job scope:

• Project management: planning, communication, coordination, timeline management, monitoring, and budget, data and resource management

• Stakeholder and partner management and serve as the central point of contact among stakeholders

• Organize cross-country meetings; prepare agendas and minutes.

• Coordinate travel and support site visits; travel to participating countries as needed.

• To work with the lead investigator on collaborative and international research with partner organisations nationally and globally (including NGOs, industry, hospitals and other research and academic institutions).

• Assist research activities as needed, including qualitative and quantitative research data collection, analyses, and reporting.

• Prepare and coordinate research ethics protocols.

• Support the dissemination of project outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets including guidelines and policy recommendations.

• Be involved in capacity building in the region by supporting workshops and relevant training activities.

Requirements and selection criteria:

• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, health sciences, social sciences, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in project management, stakeholder management and coordination.

• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven ability to produce clear documentation, reports, and meeting materials.

• Familiarity with research ethics, IRB processes, and data protection requirements.

This role will focus on the development of validated measurement framework for assessing how community hubs build community capacities and social capital, stakeholder engagement, and advanced socio-spatial analysis. The work will contribute to new knowledge on how intergenerational urban design, programming, and governance models shape community capacity-building, and how these pathways influence social resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Measurement & Quantitative Research

-Develop, adapt, and validate survey instruments and indexes to assess community capacities and social capital.

-Design and lead Delphi surveys with experts to refine indicators and ensure contextual relevance.

-Conduct advanced quantitative analyses, including regression, multilevel modelling, and factor analysis.

• Socio-Spatial & Mixed-Methods Analysis

-Contribute to GIS-based socio-spatial analysis linking designs of community hubs, land use, accessibility, and environmental features with social and community-level outcomes.
