- The Product Development Manager will report to the CEO, Coim Asia Pacific Pte Ltd for all organizational and operational matters.
- To work closely with Footwear Technical Centre in Italy for new product development.
- To conceive, plan and conduct innovative activities for new product development, untested formulae, technical complexity leading to new and improved products or processes.
- To conceive, identify, justify and assist in execution of analysis to improve current technologies of products and process development.
- To direct, supervise and provide required training for the work of one or more lab technicians.
- To be involved in the planning, preparation, implementation of training programs, technical seminars/workshops and market support programs to meet and exceed customers’ expectation in the area of product performance.
- To perform laboratory work and conduct product trails at customers place in compliance with Company’s guidelines and to assist customers to solve problems associated with the applications of products
- To establish and maintain an effective rapport with technical peers in each of the Asia Pacific and Worldwide Technical Centers and to use this relationship to achieve a spirit of co-operation and commitment within the Group.
- To co-operate with Site Manager to ensure day to day activities are consistent and focused on long term objectives for product development matters.
- To use project planning tools to set objectives, timelines, costs, milestones and obtain feedback from General manager, sales personnel and customers to meet technical requirements and agreed strategies in relevant market segments.
- When carrying out his duties, he will need to ensure that he complies with all the health and safety rules and regulations of the Company.
- Any other duties as and when required to be done by the CEO and the Footwear Technical Center located in Italy.
- Degree or Diploma holder with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar industry
- Possess strong analytical skills, able to interact with all levels of people
- Chemical knowledge in the products being manufactured
- At least 5 years experience in product development and applications of polyurethane for shoe sole industry.
