We are seeking a skilled Energy Researcher to join our team in executing research on tidal resources. The successful candidate will assist the management team in executing projects related to tidal resources and support the development of a portfolio of activities in this area.
The role involves participating in research and development, demonstration, and deployment projects of innovative energy solutions. This includes researching energy systems and alternative energy sources, supporting joint research and development agreements, and executing research projects to ensure scientific/technical targets are met.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in research and development, demonstration, and deployment projects of innovative energy solutions.
- Support joint research and development agreements such as Joint Industry Program, Research Collaboration Agreements with Industry or University partners and related programs.
- Execute research projects in the group to ensure projects are executed to meet the scientific / technical targets.
- Support the research team in preparation of grant proposals, intellectual property filings, presentations in meetings, scientific conferences; publishing research papers in Journals / conference proceedings as defined in the project scope and agreements.
- Develop Tidal Resource Models: Design and implement statistical and machine learning tidal models to predict energy demand, supply, and market trends.
- Analyse Energy Data: Collect, clean, and interpret large datasets from various sources.
- Monitor and Validate Model Performance: Continuously evaluate data accuracy and refine models to improve reliability and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with energy planners, engineers, and policy teams to align with operational and strategic goals.
- Contribute to Research Publications: Publish research findings in academic journals or industry reports to advance knowledge in energy forecasting.
- Masters in Engineering or Sciences or a related field.
- Familiarity with both academic and industrial research as well as the funding landscape enabling these research programs is preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of individual and professional groups in both industry as well as government agencies is required.
- Able to work in and lead interdisciplinary teams with a wide variety of competences and a high level of diversity.

- Our ideal candidate will execute end-to-end solar projects, including document submission, scheduling, factory inspections, and service support.
