Summary
This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Forces Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Commander, Navy Region Japan, Singapore Area Coordinator (SAC), Singapore. The primary function of the position is to ensure proper usage of the facility, assist in the operation of the recreation activity and provide proper collection and disposition of revenues generated at the assigned facility.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patrons, including greeting, checking IDs, issuing and receiving gear, and registering patrons for activities.
Answer inquiries via telephone about facility hours, events, and programs.
Complete Daily Activity Reports, handle cash, verify collections, and secure funds.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and publicizing activities to attract participants.
Oversee retail sales related to activities.
Evaluate fitness activities and monitor program effectiveness.
Supervise patrons, volunteers, and contractors during events and report issues.
Assist in selecting fitness, sports, and aquatics activities based on resources and participant interests.
Monitor participants in activities and conduct instructional classes.
Perform basic fitness orientations, demonstrate equipment use, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
Prepare facilities for scheduled events and ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements
Obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
Obtain and maintain AED, Blood-borne Pathogen, and Navy Basic Fitness certifications within 90 days.
Occasional travel may be required.
Obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or Child Care NACI, if applicable.
Qualifications
Knowledge of MWR policies, rules, and regulations.
Basic arithmetic and cash handling skills.
Knowledge of fitness, aquatics, and sports principles.
Skill in operating fitness equipment and maintaining facilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to deliver training and communicate effectively.
Education
Submit transcripts or proof of education as required, including foreign credentials evaluated for U.S. standards.
Additional Information
Direct deposit of pay is required.
