As a Document Control Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of records related to live, recalled Investigation Papers (IP), enquiry files, and other documents.
This role requires strong organisational skills to ensure seamless document processing and storage. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide investigation support work such as returning case exhibits to rightful owners and assist in routine administrative tasks related to registry work, data entry, scanning of documents within files, and handling requests on file records.
Responsibilities- Process movement and storage of live, recalled Investigation Papers (IP), enquiry files, and other related documents.
- Support the creation and maintenance of up-to-date records on the number of files, and provision of necessary returns/updates.
- Collate details of cases/files before filing off, allowing for easy retrieval of facts when required, and retrieve details of cases/files as needed.
- Provide support for investigating officers by assisting in the collation of details and providing assistance in various investigative tasks.
- Meticulous, organised, and able to work independently.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Has relevant experience in crime registry work and handling court/legal documents.
- Possess basic computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office applications, and comfortable with learning and using computerised investigation management systems.
