Job Description
- Perform patient checks and prepare patients for radiological or interventional procedures.
- Respect and protect patients' rights and confidentiality at all times.
- Assess patient condition and complete safety checklists prior to procedures.
- Check, prepare, and arrange necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
- Assist with proper patient positioning to ensure comfort and optimal imaging.
- Support radiologist and/or surgeon during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis when required.
- Coordinate with radiologist or surgeon to ensure smooth workflow and procedure scheduling.
- Guide and support new staff to maintain consistent, high-quality nursing care.
- Implement and uphold principles of sterility and aseptic techniques in all procedures.
- Comply with infection control policies and procedures.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations involving patients or staff.
- Accurately and legibly document patient care, procedure details, and use of consumables/implants.
- Assist in the management and safe custody of Controlled Drugs.
- Replenish and maintain stock of surgical supplies and medications daily.
Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Nursing.
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with a valid SNB license.
- Radiology experience is preferred.
