Roles & Responsibilities
- Strategic Cost Modelling: Build and maintain detailed cost models for new product introductions, outsourcing programs, and key supplier negotiations. Translate technical inputs and supply data into commercially sound pricing strategies.
- Financial Planning & Decision Support: Partner with supply chain, finance, and engineering stakeholders to support cost forecasts, accurate pricing and profitability analysis on new projects. Provide actionable insights to support budgeting and sourcing decisions.
- Cost Optimization & Value Tracking: Drive purchase price variance (PPV) analysis, quarterly cost reviews, and inventory revaluation initiatives. Proactively identify cost-saving levers, support cost-down programs, and ensure alignment with product cost targets.
- Supplier Engagement & Commercial Analytics: Support supplier pricing discussions and repricing cycles through data-backed arguments and deep visibility into cost structures. Present insights to senior stakeholders to inform negotiation and sourcing strategy.
- Digital Cost Intelligence: Build and maintain dashboards and analytical tools to monitor key cost KPIs across global contract manufacturers. Leverage data to improve transparency, standardization, and decision-making.
- Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manage cost workstreams for outsourcing projects with clear accountability on deliverables and risk escalation. Serve as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and supplier counterparts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Finance. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in supply chain finance, strategic cost analysis, management consulting (operations focus), or pricing strategy, preferably in technology, hardware, or manufacturing-intensive sectors.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, vendor pricing models, and supply chain operations.
- Ability to bridge technical and commercial domains, comfortable working with engineers, procurement teams, and finance leaders alike.
- Analytical mindset with hands-on experience in Excel, ERP systems, and modern BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, confident presentation to executives and influencing decisions.

- SUMMARY or MAJOR FUNCTION OF THE JOB
The Strategic Sourcing Manager, an individual contributor, develops/manages the execution of strategic sourcing plans including make vs buy, buy vs buy, or buy to make inputs. This includes Supply Chain network design and the identification, selection and development of suppliers. It also includes the creation, negotiation and management of supplier Contracts/Long Term Agreements (LTA's) for the entire product life cycle for various commodities but not limited to machining, electronics, raw material or COTS item supporting all AG CAG sites.
- PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES or KEY RESULTS OF THE JOB:
Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and execute tactical and long term strategic sourcing plans for multiple parts and a variety of products within an assigned commodity grouping. This includes providing strategic input to the Make vs Buy business planning process, and leading Buy to Buy and Make to Buy supplier transitions. Research and identification of suppliers to achieve an effective Supply Chain network design based on quality, lead time, vendor managed inventory and total landed cost to achieve the required business objectives. Provides proposal support to the Business Sectors for current programs and new business pursuits. Supplier selection after considering inputs and consulting with a cross functional team through a Supplier Selection process. Determines when products should be sourced to a single vendor or multiple vendors to mitigate risk, and provide continuity of supply and long term competitiveness. Development of new supplier capabilities/competencies through strategic supplier partnerships to generate competitive advantage. Establishes and manages the required relationships, investment, training and resource requirements to successfully complete planned supplier development. Collaborates across the global Supply Chain organization and with other function business partners to analyse demand and supply trends, including the evaluation of lead times and total landed cost to identify and drive Supply Chain improvements. Continuously assesses strategic sourcing requirements to define strategic sourcing policies, supplier contractual requirements, business objectives, initatives, and priorities. Collaborates with the Contracts/Legal function to define, flow down and negotiate supplier contractual requirements. Senior escalation point for suppliers that are not performing in accordance with contractual terms and conditions. Assesses and colloborates with other business partners to determine and manage appropriate actions required to address contractual related supplier performance issues. Manages Supplier New Product Introduction (NPI) in collaboration with Sector Program Manager. Relationship management for supplier partners to achieve effective global long term business partnerships. Includes support for the Regional and Site Supply Chain teams with supplier relationships and contract management.
- SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES or UNUSUAL CHALLENGES:
This role is critical to the overall operational performance and financial health of the organization due to the scale and impact of the supply chain network design, sourcing decisions, and supplier contractual terms and conditions. Requires a high level of influence for supplier selection and supplier development across multiple functions globally. This includes but is not limited to Sector General Managers, Program Management, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering and Operations. The management of a wide variety of global supplier activities requires an extensive scope of knowledge and experience that includes strategic planning, contractual requirements, product design, development, qualification, production operations and aftermarket services. The individual must be able to deal with a varity of tasks at any one time and understand the priorities. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Knowledge and experience of a variety of mandatory requirements, including REACH, AEO, Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements and Import/Export regulation requirements

The Strategic Procurement & Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement and sourcing activities of the organization. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective and efficient procurement processes. The specialist will also oversee project procurement, subcontractor management, and the procure-to-pay cycle to support the organization's goals and objectives.

+ **Procure-to-Pay Cycle:** Manage the comprehensive process of acquiring goods and services and making payments to suppliers, including requirement identification, requisition creation, supplier selection, purchase order creation, order receipt and inspection, invoice processing, payment authorization, payment execution, record keeping, and supplier performance evaluation.
+ **Procurement Tools:** Should have experience on SAP / CORA / E-auction / Leap Tools etc, and should be willing to learn new processes and tools as per company requirement.
+ **Travel:** As part of job profile, the candidate must be willing to travel occasionally at vendor facilities and Project sites.
**Key Experience & Capabilities:**
+ Engineering Degree (BE) along with master's degree (MBA) in business administration, Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
+ Proven experience in strategic procurement and sourcing, project procurement, and subcontractor management.
+ Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to conduct market analysis and implement cost reduction strategies.
+ Knowledge of risk management and sustainability practices.
+ Proficiency in contract management and the procure-to-pay cycle.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Able to work in a matrixed organization.
+ Have an understanding of IBMS and ELV installation and cabling requirements and practices, and local standards and governance.
+ Demonstrated experience in managing procurement activities for projects, including requirement analysis, vendor selection, contract negotiation, procurement planning, cost management, quality assurance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
+ Proven track record in subcontractor management, including selection and evaluation, contract development, performance monitoring, communication, quality control, risk management, payment and compliance, and conflict resolution.

JOB SUMMARY
Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for the overall commercial management of how the bank engages and spends money with its external third-party suppliers. The SCM Global Technology Team is looking for a candidate with strong experience in sourcing / procurement and the gravitas to engage stakeholders within business functions to support key priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for influencing and executing sourcing activities in collaboration with various business functions and related support teams. Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate excellence in negotiating favourable commercial outcomes.
- Deliver Effective and pro-active stakeholder management of key leaders across assigned business functions by setting out clear strategies, developing strong partnerships and innovative approaches to sourcing and vendor management aligned to the needs of their unique portfolio.
- Executing sourcing deals in alignment with Technology category strategies, objectives, and supply chain targets
- Key accountability of collaborating with SCM internal team in reviewing the pipeline, focussing on longer term value creation (18+ months) and ensuring that deals are constructed in a commercially sound, scalable manner.
- Take accountability of end of end onboarding of vendors, including but not limited to taking lead on managing/engaging stakeholders in relevant risk functions.
- Fosters teamwork with the rest of SCM to ensure optimal support and service is provided to the assigned business functions.
- Contribute to the strategy and overall achievement of functional objectives of SCM, particularly in the areas of Commercial Value, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Sustainability.
- Owns the assigned sourcing strategies for Technology, comprising of commercial and market aspects as well as channelling and processes definition in line with the Ariba platform.
- Implementing the sustainability agenda of the Bank through specific strategies and category plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Ensures that the relevant sourcing strategies are kept updated and current, focusing on commercial value generation and risk profile in line with the Bank's strategy and business plans.
- Support, Optimise management of end-to-end supply chain, increasing deal commercial value, managing risks in a way that gets to market quickly and in line with the Bank's priorities.
- Contribute to the development of clear deal strategies, ensuring alignment/priorities of relevant Technology categories.
- Proactively engage with assigned stakeholders to understand overall requirements, challenge current thinking and strengthen vendor management as a strategic advantage for the function.
- Ensuring enhanced governance and controls to protect the Groups assets and stakeholders in relation to vendor decisions.
- Implement the Bank's sustainability strategy throughout our vendor portfolio.
- Participate in regular pipeline reviews ensuring alignment with the business.
- Support contract remediation and dispute resolution of existing relationships, up to and including exit management if required.
Business
- Accountability for establishing and achieving assigned project timelines, partnering strategies and commercial goals through effective resourcing, and partnering with Technology teams.
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder engagement demonstrating value to the assigned businesses through joint innovation on efficiency, supplier risk, sustainability, and compliance matters
- Influence the buy decisions.
- Lead complex deal negotiations, including Outsourcing.
- Manages complex competitive sourcing events (RFx, eAuction etc.) without supervision.
- Influences the internal and third party decisioning regarding contracts. Plays a lead role in brokering the parties to reach an agreement. Fronts discussions regarding strengths and weaknesses of the agreement as applies to commercial elements.
- Leads the contract negotiations with the suppliers, accurately interprets contractual terms into risks, and supports the closing of contractual blockages through to completion.
- Work with Global Category Managers and Technology Contract owners / senior Technology Stakeholders on implementing the outputs from the Technology Category Strategy Uplift. This programme is looking to reduce the tail number of technology vendors as well as look across all areas of Technology spend to identify areas for consolidation, exit and demand management.
- Meets or exceeds save targets.

- Ensure that supplier partnering strategies incorporate the needs of the assigned stakeholders, leveraging existing suppliers as appropriate to reduce lead-times.
- Work collaboratively with the wider SCM team to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for the business.
- Embed the Sustainability agenda into contracts as appropriate.
- Ensures Strategic vendors are managed in accordance with the Vendor Management process and needs of the assigned functions and stakeholders.
Risk Management
- Support and execute necessary actions and deliverables to meet existing and new regulatory requirements that relate to the assigned supplier base.
- Support risk reviews for SCM and implement corrective actions as required.
- Ensure effective escalation for all blockages, risks, issues or non-adherence to Group Policies.
- Comply with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct as defined by internal and external requirements.
- Understand and ensure compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines including those governing securities activities, company law, anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group's policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role,
- Embed the Group's Values and Group Code of Conduct to ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics. Comply with relevant policies, processes, and regulations, as part of the culture.
Governance
- Drive process changes to simplify the sourcing process or to accommodate the specific needs of the supported business units.
- Supports overall governance within the assigned portfolio of Third Party Risk Management activities (covering internal and external outsourcing, and vendor management) leveraging the central TPRM and Vendor Management delivery teams.
- Manage cases of non-compliance with due regard to the risks involved.
- Provide counsel and leadership to stakeholders across the business functions within the region in support of procurement, vendor management, outsourcing and contract management and other SCM related queries.
Skills and Qualifications
- Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering.
- Possess strong relationship-building skills, with an ability to work effectively with peers and senior stakeholders across multiple regions
- Agile and comfortable with dealing with complex datasets.
- Effective verbal and written presentation and exceptional communication skills
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter and resilient
- Strong cognitive ability to design meaningful dashboards to drive key management decisions.
- Professional Memberships: CIPS or similar desirable.
- Will be required to handle Chinese and Korean groups. Knowledge of Mandarin is essential and Korean is a plus
- Previous experience of working within the Financial Services is an advantage.
