DESIGNATION : Purchasing Clerk / Assistant Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Purchasing Manager in liaising for major vendor procurement for both In-House and TECOS Fleets.
- Assist Purchasing Manager in monitoring volume discounts and credit notes where applicable.
- Ensure timely, cost-efficient supply to vessels managed by the company, as well as for designated agreements under Category Management.
- Take cares for all aspects of procurement of spares and stores for designated vessels.
- Constantly look for ways to improve cost effective supply and ensure purchases are following company procedures.
- Monitor the vessel's schedule on daily basis to determine the most cost- effective means of supply, taking urgency and location into account, which includes complete delivery process and follow up of any discrepancies.
- Process invoices promptly, especially those that have early payment discount and suppliers under Vendor Agreements.
- Ensuring consistent and effective operation of the purchasing process across the fleet teams.
- Work with the Fleet Teams see to that sufficient quality are purchased and make sure that the spares and equipment delivered comply with rules and regulations.
- Ensure consistent and effective operation of the purchasing process across the fleet teams and all purchases are completed in accordance with the prevailing agreements
- Follow up changes in the supplier market in general and keep good contact both with domestic and international associates.
- Assist with carry out supplier audits when required.
- In charge of the designated agreements under category management; including follow up, renewal and/or new negotiation.
- To achieve best practice with respect to preventing bribery and corruption and comply with Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery policy.
- Actively participate in the development of the quality management system and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- 3 - 4 years working experience minimum.
