What you will be doing:

Community Outreach & Engagement

  • Conduct community outreach and basic needs assessments to seniors in S3’s designated service boundary within Boon Lay.
  • Provide regular befriending services to vulnerable seniors including monitoring their wellbeing and connecting them to relevant care services when necessary.
  • Contribute to volunteer role design, recruitment, training, deployment, engagement and appreciation

Programme Planning & Management

  • Plan and manage wellness programmes for S3 stroke survivors and active ageing programmes for seniors.
  • Manage administrative tasks and logistics associated with programme implementation.
  • Collaborate with community partners such as PA, NUHS, GP clinics, etc. to organize activities such as roadshows, talks, wellness workshops and excursions.

Administration

  • Maintenance of database
  • Generation of reports for submission

What we are looking for:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Community Health, Sports & Exercise Science preferred or relevant job and volunteering experience
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent project management and events co-ordination skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
