At APCO Singapore, the hub for Southeast Asia at the world’s leading global advisory firm, you’ll work on projects that shape conversations at the intersection of business, policy, and society.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and driven to perform at a high level. You’ll be expected to think critically, take initiative, and deliver with precision as you help clients navigate uncertainty, manage complexity, and deliver impact across the region and beyond.
What We’re Looking For
- You are a motivated self-starter who seeks out answers, asks thoughtful questions, and pushes work forward without waiting to be told.
- You are intellectually curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in strategic communications and public affairs.
- You are detail-oriented and dependable, able to deliver high-quality outputs such as news summaries, policy briefs, fact sheets, and press materials.
- You are ready to support and manage client communications, coordinating meetings, preparing materials, tracking progress, and becoming a trusted point of contact for day-to-day needs.
- You keep a close watch on current events, media trends, and political developments, and can turn that awareness into meaningful insights for clients.
- You are a collaborative team player who brings a positive attitude and fresh perspective to internal discussions and client engagements.
- You are curious about business development and open to supporting research, proposals, and opportunity tracking.
- You are adaptable, proactive, and comfortable taking on new challenges as they arise.
- Bonus if you have had exposure to political campaigns, advocacy, or communications internships
What We Offer
- One of the most dynamic advisory firms in the region, powered by a new generation of smart, hard-working, and ambitious colleagues.
- Unparalleled global resources—in-house intelligence, a world-leading tech stack, creative capabilities, and access to a truly global network.
- Opportunities to work on high-stakes issues for leading companies, governments, and associations.
- A culture that rewards performance—where success is based on impact, not hierarchy.
What You'll Do
- Drive Client Success: Craft compelling, high-quality deliverables—from issue monitoring reports and news digests to policy memos, briefing books, press releases, and pitch decks—that help clients stay informed and ahead of the curve.
- Fuel Business Growth: Keep a sharp eye out for new opportunities by tracking RFPs, diving deep into background research, and contributing smart, strategic input to proposal development.
- Stay Ahead of the Headlines: Monitor and understand media, government, and political landscapes to deliver timely, relevant updates that shape client strategy and response.
- Shape the Narrative: Manage select media relations efforts, helping clients tell their stories with clarity, credibility, and impact.
- Orchestrate with Precision: Support account leads by coordinating meetings, timelines, and project workflows—ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
- Be a Thought Partner: Join internal and client meetings ready to contribute sharp insights, thoughtful suggestions, and not be afraid to move things along.
- Adapt and Elevate: Take on additional responsibilities as needed, always with a mindset of growth, agility, and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree or higher, preferably in Public Affairs, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective time management
- Genuine interest in current affairs, policy issues, and global industry trends
