Our major Oil & Gas Downstream Client is urgently looking for Project Planning Engineer who will be responsible for delivering, developing, and maintaining realistic and integrated plans and control structures for major capital projects and a portfolio of smaller projects. You will ensure that schedule are accurate, aligned, and effectively monitored, supporting project success through robust planning, progress tracking, and analysis.
- Deliver, develop, and maintain consistent and realistic plans and control structures for major projects and portfolio projects
- Produce schedule deliverable packages appropriate for the project stage gates (e.g., feasibility, FEED, execution)
- Align all stakeholders during the development of engineering, procurement, and construction schedules, ensuring integration with construction management and overall project objectives
- Understand and define the list of plans required to execute assigned project sub-elements and their interfaces to other sub-elements
- Develop activities, sequencing logic, resource plans, and progress measurement for assigned project sub-elements, establishing and maintaining the baseline schedule
- Develop, implement, and comply with planning and progress monitoring procedures
- Conduct regular schedule progress updates, forecasts, critical path and trend analyses, and communicate results for assigned elements, including the impact of interfaces
- Provide regular, comprehensive schedule status reports to project sub-element managers and stakeholders
- Assess and incorporate the impact of changes, deviations, and risks to key project milestones, monitor productivity, and propose alternate approaches to optimize plans when necessary
- Liaise with and challenge engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure understanding of key schedule sensitivities, risks, and drivers
- Develop contract key dates, milestones, and internal plan dates aligned with the overall program schedule
- Review and verify contractor-reported progress, ensuring it is accurately reflected in the integrated program schedule
- Manage interfaces between contractor and company teams to maintain a reliable, integrated working schedule and accurately report performance
- Perform schedule risk analysis using Primavera Risk Analysis or similar tools, identifying and mitigating potential schedule delays
- Conduct schedule benchmarking and work with IPA forms and datasets to compare project
You are what we are looking for if you:
- Have Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Planning Engineer or equivalent experience
- Have experience in oil and gas, preferably downsteam, refinery, and/or chemical plant experience
- Have minimum 8 years industry experience including Planning & scheduling positions. Experience in Front-End Engineering and Execution
- Have excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills

PROJECT ENGINEER
a) Report and assist Project Manager (PM) on project functions included but not limited to project management, site management, risk control management etc. to meet the project(s) goals.
b) Assist Project Manager in project planning, implementation and to coordinate all construction works on the project site are in accordance to the master and detailed work program.
c) Prepare, plan and submit project related documents, such as schedules, method statement, design plan, risk assessment, monthly report, etc.

h) Establish proper and effective document control system, maintain & conduct reviews of detail design drawings, project documents and specifications.

- Good working knowledge of Primavera –P6/ MS Project software. Should be able to understand and develop S – Curves with earn value systems.
- Ability to prepare Project Reports for various project stakeholders.
- Good understanding of Power Plants preferably combined cycle plants. Should have worked “hands on” in a power plant project execution.
