Project Implementation Lead (18 Months Contract)
We are looking for a Project Implementation Lead for our client. He/she will act as the bridge between their business unit and our global HR and Finance transformation program to Workday. This role will capture key processes, data, and system insights to ensure Workday is configured to meet business needs, while championing the project and engaging stakeholders for input. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of Finance and/or HR processes, good collaboration skills, and the ability to coordinate across teams. Experience with ERP or HRMS platforms will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and communicate key business processes in Finance and/or HR.
· Represent the business in the development of a global Finance and HR solution, ensuring that the global configuration will meet business needs.
· Assist in the review and validation of new processes within the Workday software suite.
· Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure that the right people are contributing their business expertise to the global Finance and HR solution.
· Engage colleagues regularly with updates and positive messaging about the progress and benefits of the Project.
· Lead the process of uplifting and validating the business data in legacy systems in preparation for Workday.
· Ensure that the transferred business data to the new platform is as complete and accurate as possible, supported by experts from the Project’s Data Team and the System Integrator.
· Establish data governance and ownership practices that will allow the business to maintain accurate, consistent business information on Workday.
· Inform and support our training approach to roll out Workday to the business. Advise on the best channels and language to engage the teams.
· Participate in design and testing activities to ensure that the final product will work for the business.
· Work closely with the Project Implementation Leads from other businesses in the Group to improve the shared understanding of the operations, and foster “one way of working” in a unified system.
· Provide feedback on all aspects of the user experience of the new system so as to optimise the configuration and plan enhancements.
· Regularly report back to business leaders on the status of the Project, presenting key functions and processes as they are developed.
· Any other tasks in support of Project delivery, as delegated by the relevant Group Implementation Lead.
Requirement:
· Strong internal stakeholder relationships.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills, establishing credibility with leadership teams and partnerships with broader business teams to deliver results.
· Ability to distil complex processes into simple steps that can be discussed and analysed by a wider audience.
· Sound basic understanding of data, with the ability to review large data sets and identify gaps (supported by specialist resources).
· Strong understanding of data governance processes.
· Ability to quickly build strong working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and collaborate effectively on a range of topics.
· Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences and articulate a clear vision across businesses.
· Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills to deliver to tight project deadlines as part of a high-performing team.
· Rigorous attention to detail.
· Global mindset, balancing individual business needs with the strategic growth of the Company.
· Flexible, adaptable, and highly resilient.
· Sound commercial judgment, with a focus on maximising benefits.
· Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are beneficial but can be learnt on the job.
· Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams is beneficial.
· Experience with an ERP and/or HRMS platform is highly desirable but is not a prerequisite for the role.
