Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Process/Production Engineer to oversee both the operational performance and process integrity of our manufacturing lines. This hybrid role bridges production execution and process improvement, ensuring efficient output, equipment reliability, and adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, a continuous improvement mindset and good understanding of can manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support daily production activities to meet volume, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Analyse production and process data to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize machine parameters and production workflows for improved output and reduced downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to minimize process variations and ensure consistent product quality.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (OEE improvement, waste reduction, SMED, Kaizen).
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
• Train operators and line technicians on process control, best practices, and equipment operation.
• Support commissioning and trial runs for new equipment, product introductions, and process changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food safety (where applicable), and regulatory standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for both process and production lines.
Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering or
• Diploma in Engineering with 2–5 years of experience in a production and/or process engineering role; experience in metal packaging or high-speed manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient in data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, SPC).
• Good communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of ERP/MES systems and production tracking tools.
• Familiarity with food-grade packaging standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FSSC
• Experience working in a shift-based production environment

The NPI / Production Process Engineer is required to collaborate with the Program Management Team
and be involved in New Product Introduction activities and the creation of manufacturing Work Instructions as well as other process documents.

Skills & Qualification:
Minimum Diploma in any Engineering field such as Electrical, Mechanical/Mechatronics, Manufacturing/Production or industrial Engineering
Min. 3 years of manufacturing process engineering experience, preferably dealing with wire or cable harness. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Asst. Engineer position
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Basic manufacturing knowledge in cable harness assemblies, plastics and sheet metal preferred
Experienced in the creation Bill of Materials structures
Good knowledge on Solid Edge or SolidWorks preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Lean/Six Sigma certification is desirable
Strong analytical ability
Team player with good communication skills
