Key Responsibilities includes (but not limited to):

1. Perform monthly inspections of electrical installations and maintain logbooks per EMA and relevant regulations.

2. Perform electrical isolations and restoration to enable safe work execution by others.

3. Supervise and approve electrical installation, maintenance, and rectification works conducted by contractors.

4. Endorse switching schedules and supervise switching operations.

5. Ensure all electrical works are compliant with SS638, EMA requirements, SCDF fire safety codes, and COMPANY's SOCPE standards.

6. Review and approve Single-Line Diagrams, Load Schedules, and PE submissions where applicable.

7. Investigate electrical faults and support root cause identification and corrective action implementation.

8. Liaise with authorities and support licensing, testing, and audit preparation for Bukom/Jurong Island's electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design temporary electrical installations within the capacity and conduct T&C for electrical installations
• Daily checking of electrical systems and troubleshooting of electrical faults
• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment
• Provide support to the operational team related to all electrical power requirements on site
• Provide assistance and guidance in the temporary electrical and permanent electrical design
• Ensure compliance to statutory regulations, code of practice and the Company's safety rules and regulations as well as SOP for electrical system work
• Supervise the work performed by subcontractors and inspect the electrical installations
• Supervise site electricians and coordinate with company staff on temporary electrical work
• Ensure temporary electrical installations follow SS 638 and SS 650 Part 1 and 2 standards
• Supervise the setup of the generator and DB installation
• Conduct monthly inspections of the construction company's electrical tools
• Liaison with project team and authority and electrical submission QP
• Ensure timely completion of the work activities, according to the programme

Requirements:

• Diploma/Higher NITEC in Electrical Engineering
• Possess Grade 7 Electrician's Licence from EMA with at least 5 years' relevant work experience
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment
• Able to diagnose and rectify M&E faults independently
• Able to lead the Testing and Commissioning of electrical system
• Able to adopt electrical safe system works in the project
• Able to maintain documentation regards to ESSW system
• Familiar with ACMV, Electrical, Fire protection and UPS System

Responsibilities
We are seeking a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) with at least Technician Grade certification to supervise and execute ‘Live' Low Voltage (LV) cable jointing works and ensure full compliance with regulatory and workplace safety requirements. This role is critical in maintaining electrical integrity, safety, and efficiency across our infrastructure and project sites.
Supervision of Electrical Works
Supervise and perform 'Live' LV cable jointing (e.g., straight joints, terminations, pot ends, T-joints, removals).
Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and workplace procedures.
Tool & Equipment Compliance
Verify that all insulated tools, gloves, boots, and mats meet regulatory and SP standards.
Refuse or stop work when safety equipment is found to be incomplete or unsafe.
Permit & Documentation
Check that jointers have valid permits for cable jointing works.
Personally manage the Handing/Taking Over Certificates and endorse upon job completion.
Site Safety and Briefings
Conduct Tool Box Meetings (TBM) to brief jointers on job scope, hazards, and safety control measures.
Ensure safety setup: use of insulated barriers, PPE, and safe storage of materials.
Confirm cable identity before works begin and supervise phase/neutral jointing sequences.
Pilot Cable Works (as required)
Perform insulation and continuity tests, and fault location procedures.
Identify pilot cable routes, supervise cutting and termination.
Document and submit test results to the Superintending Officer.
Professional Conduct
Apply engineering judgement and professional discretion at all times.
Provide qualifications and experience during project tender processes.
Maintain performance standards as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) - Technician Grade (8 or higher)
Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
3 to 4 years of relevant experience in electrical works supervision, especially in LV cable jointing
Possession of a valid Class 2 or 3 driving license is an advantage (to support site mobility).
Strong understanding of SP Group electrical work safety standards
Effective communication, documentation, and supervisory skills

Job Description – Licensed Electrical Worker (Electrician Licence)

The Licensed Electrician is authorised under the Energy Market Authority (EMA) to carry out, endorse, and take responsibility for electrical installation, operation, and maintenance works up to 1,000 volts (Low Voltage) . This role ensures safe execution of electrical works in compliance with statutory regulations, codes of practice, and workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Maintenance To assist on the safety compliance on installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of low-voltage (≤1 kV) electrical systems (e.g., wiring, distribution boards, lighting, power outlets, earthing, small generators, and solar PV up to LV).
  To assist Operations and Maintenance Team to troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to restore safe operation.
• Regulatory Compliance and inspection. Endorse and submit periodic inspection/test certificates for Electrical tools for company.
  Ensure all works comply with the Electricity Act, EMA licensing conditions, and Singapore Standards (SS, CP codes).
• Safety & Risk Management Implement Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) and Permit-to-Work procedures for LV electrical maintenance works.
  Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and electrical safety codes.
• Supervision & Coordination Supervise electricians and contractors performing electrical work
  Coordinate with clients, facility managers, and authorities on LV electrical works.

Requirements

• Licensed Electrical Worker (Electrician Licence) issued by EMA Singapore.
• NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of LV distribution systems, Singapore Standards (SS638, CP5, etc.), and WSH safety requirements.
• At least 3–5 years of practical experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and safety awareness.
