The Role
We are seeking an experienced support engineer to join our Platform Support Engineering team in Singapore. The candidate will be part of a team that provides front-line support for our proprietary quantitative trading platform. The team offers follow-the-sun support (alongside counterparts based in the UK and US), providing 24/7 monitoring and support for Schonfeld’s trading environment. The engineer will work closely with development teams to ensure the reliability, maintainability, and performance of the production environment.
What you’ll do
The Platform Support Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for production issues, support requests, and alerts. You will investigate and resolve issues/outages as they occur and escalate as necessary. The engineer will collaborate with software development teams to ensure successful deployment of new code into production. Additionally, the role involves automating processes and workflows, as well as building tools for our environment.

Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing large-scale deployments/environments
Support experience in a Linux environment
Strong scripting skills – Python, Bash, Shell, Perl
Experience developing tools and automating processes
Support experience with FIX protocol
Understanding of monitoring and performance management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ownership and a track record of delivering results
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with FIX certification/onboarding
Knowledge of NFS and GPFS file systems
Knowledge of storage devices
Experience with application monitoring systems such as ITRS Geneos
Experience with Control-M job scheduling
